Thank you ❤️

On a more serious note, we are cautiously optimistic about Malaysia's future. Things may not change overnight but it's a step towards better change.

Be aware, be informed, and most importantly remember to unironically live laugh love.

Take care and stay safe, gais.

You can always count on the Msian govt to resolve ‘Muslim issues’ at the speed of light. For non-Muslim/critical issues, however…

This was an entertaining, yet entirely pointless fuss over nothing. ‘Timah’ was nothing but a diversion tactic. It dominated social media and drowned out other important news. We’d like to use this post to bring their hypocrisy on racial/religious issues to light and direct your attention to things worth focusing on, like Bajet 2022.

Anyone can be an influencer nowadays. But with great fame, also comes great responsibility.

We covered Aliff Syukri & Dato Vida, but there are more Malaysian influencers/celebrities who’ve endorsed or produced dodgy products out there. Undercover Asia from CNA, a Singaporean news channel, revealed cases of people getting serious side effects from illegal health/beauty products sold in Malaysia. Some recover, but some end in tragedy.

As a consumer, know your rights. Know how to differentiate the real from the fake. And hold influencers accountable.

This was adapted from Malaysia Kini: May 13, Never Again. Nothing was more heartbreaking and somber than going through the carefully organised and thorough timeline of the events of May 13. If you have the time, take 5 minutes and go through their website.

Side note:

Two years ago, we were assigned to read a book. It was about the events of May 13, told from the eyes of a young Malay girl. At first, I was upset. "This book isn't addressing the root of the problems! This is a weak attempt to cover on a conflict to avoid stoking any fires."

I was wrong. Once we reached the end of the book, everyone was somber.

Senseless violence is the only way to describe May 13. There is no justification for the lives lost. Nothing comes out of pointing fingers and saying whose right or wrong.

Usually our followers ask, "What can we do now?" Malaysia has buried this so deep that we haven't taken the first step to making things right: acknowledge that it happened. Our answer is empower yourself with the knowledge of the events of May 13 and the events leading up to it.

99% of MLMs fail, according to the Federal Trade Commission.

MLM sellers have become prevalent since the COVID-19 crisis. With job losses and financial insecurities, Malaysians opt to become MLM sellers for a better future.

But with shady practices and shadier history, can MLMs be trusted?

We Malaysians need to talk about it.

Malaysia's democracy hangs on a thin thread. Any criticisms and demands made have been steadily ignored and met with hostility. How much more are we expected to bear?

Go to , one pioneers of the movement, as they continue to tirelessly provide updates of the movement.

Check out on protesting online.

Read post on activists who have been arrested. There have been way too many.

By educating ourselves and supporting these pages, we are also amplifying this movement - even if we cannot protest outside.

Barack Obama once said, “We are the first generation to feel the effect of climate change and the last generation who can do something about it”.

This week, we are collaborating with other pages to bring awareness to climate change and environmental issues as we believe in the power of using our voice to demand accountability from our leaders.

Keep an eye out for other posts in our stories!

The PDRM must be held accountable now. The role of a police officer is to serve and protect - yet, those two words are the last ones we would use to describe the police force today. If the police force cannot hold their own people accountable, then we must step in.

Demand for IPCMC. Malaysians have waited too long.

The deaths of Ganapathy and Sivabalan have caused public outcry and increasing demands for the establishment of IPCMC. But what is IPCMC, how can it counter police misconduct, and most importantly: why hasn't it been established?

Side note:
Those who follow the page may be aware that other pages have made detailed posts about the recent custodial deaths as well. I think it's because of the initial shock that another custodial death occured at the SAME police station and a chilling realisation that the police think that they are invincible. This is not a problem that can be solved easily - especially when it comes to addressing systemic racism and power abuse by authorities. We hope that this post can help shed light on what we can do. We hope you'll join us in using your voice to demand accountability from the police force.

Say it with me: IPCMC, not IPCC.

Malaysia has fallen 18 spots to number 119 in the 2021 World Press Freedom Index. It is the biggest fall of any country in the index. Add in the recent police investigations on artists, activists, and even a news anchor - it is a worrying sign of what our country is becoming.

Pandemic fatigue has been cited as a huge factor of the rise of COVID-19 cases. The exhaustion of trying to survive while an incompetent government continues to fail us has made many of us careless.

It is not too late. We got this.
