Philly meets cheeseburger heaven 🧀🌭 — the flavor combo dreams are made of!

Philly-Style Cheeseburger Rollups (onion & pepper twist)

Ingredients add/replace

Replace diced onion with ¾ cup thinly sliced bell peppers + ½ cup thinly sliced onion, sautéed until soft.

Use ½ cup shredded provolone or mozzarella + ½ cup cheddar. Mix with beef and bacon.

Steps
Sauté peppers & onions first, then brown beef; combine with cheese & bacon. Assemble and bake as base. Serve with a small side of warm cheese sauce or au jus for dipping.

Tip: Sauté peppers until just soft for best texture.

Spice up your day with these Jalapeño Popper Cheeseburger Rollups! 🌶️🔥


Jalapeño-Popper Cheeseburger Rollups (spicy, creamy)

Ingredients add/replace

3 oz (85 g) cream cheese, softened; ¼ cup diced pickled jalapeños; ½ cup shredded pepper-jack cheese.

Omit pickles; mix cream cheese and jalapeños into hot beef, then fold in pepper-jack and bacon.

Steps
Assemble using base method (use a little less filling if cream cheese makes mixture wet). Brush with garlic-butter and sprinkle with extra pepper-jack before baking. Bake 12–15 min.

Tip: Remove seeds from jalapeños if you want milder heat.

Changes vs classic

Use 1½ tbsp BBQ sauce mixed into cooked beef instead of ketchup/mustard.

Use 1 cup sharp cheddar + 2 tbsp finely chopped caramelized onion.

After baking, brush with a thin layer of warmed BBQ sauce + garlic-butter.

Steps
Follow base method; fold BBQ-flavored filling into dough; bake 14–16 min; finish with a light BBQ glaze + garlic-butter.

Tip: Use a bold BBQ sauce for big flavor; caramelized onions boost sweetness.

The classic everyone loves — gooey cheese, crispy bacon, buttery perfection! 😍

Classic Garlic-Butter Bacon Cheeseburger Rollups

Serves: 4 (makes 8 rollups) • Time: 35–40 min

Ingredients

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

1 small yellow onion, finely chopped (½ cup)

6 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and chopped (keep 2 slices whole for topping)

1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar

1 tbsp ketchup + 1 tsp yellow mustard + 2 tbsp chopped dill pickles (optional)

1 pkg crescent dough (8 count) or 1 puff pastry sheet cut into 8

3 tbsp butter + 1 garlic clove minced + 1 tbsp parsley, melted (garlic-butter)

Steps

Preheat oven to 375°F / 190°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment.

Cook bacon until crisp; drain and chop. Reserve 2 slices for garnish.

Sauté onion in 1 tbsp oil 3–4 min until soft. Add ground beef, salt & pepper, cook until no pink (6–8 min). Drain excess fat.

Off heat, stir in ketchup, mustard, pickles, chopped bacon and shredded cheddar. Cool slightly so cheese doesn’t melt into a liquid.

Unroll dough; place ~2½ tbsp filling on each crescent/pastry rectangle near wide edge; roll to seal. Place seam-side down on sheet.

Brush with half the garlic-butter. Top each with a few bacon crumbles.

Bake 14–16 min until golden and beef internal temp 160°F / 71°C. Brush again with remaining garlic-butter and serve warm.

Tip: Don’t overfill — seams seal better and rollups bake evenly.

Steps

Chip Shop Curry Sausage (Sausage with Curry Sauce)🍔🍔

Serves 1 • Time: 15–20 min
Equipment: skillet, small saucepan.
Ingredients

1 sausage, 1 bun; for curry sauce use 1 cup (240 ml) ready curry sauce or make from 1 tbsp curry powder, 1 tbsp flour, 1 cup stock, simmer

Steps

Cook sausage. Warm curry sauce separately.

Place sausage in bun, pour curry sauce over (chip shop style), serve with chips if desired.

Tip: Use a smooth, mild curry sauce for the classic chip shop taste.

New York-Style Hot Dog (Street Cart)

Serves 1 • Time: 8–10 min
Equipment: skillet or grill.
Ingredients

1 beef hot dog

1 soft hot dog bun

Brown mustard (or deli mustard), sauerkraut (drained & warmed), optional onion sauce (sautéed onions in broth)

Steps

Warm sauerkraut in a small pan. Grill/sauté the hot dog 4–6 min.

Warm the bun. Place dog in bun, top with a spoonful of warm sauerkraut and a squiggle of mustard. Add spoon of onion sauce if liked.

Tip: Drain sauerkraut well so the bun doesn’t get soggy.

Banger with Caramelised Onions & Mustard

Serves 1 • Time: 20–25 min
Equipment: skillet.
Ingredients

1 pork sausage, 1 bun, 1 medium onion thinly sliced, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tsp brown sugar, English mustard

Steps

Cook sausage as above. Meanwhile melt butter and slowly cook onions over low heat 10–15 min until golden; stir in brown sugar at end.

Place sausage in bun, pile caramelised onions on top and add mustard.

Tip: Low and slow is the secret to sweet, jammy onions.

Classic All-American Hot Dog

Serves 1 • Time: 8–10 min
Equipment: skillet or grill, tongs.
Ingredients

1 good-quality hot dog (beef, pork or chicken)

1 soft hot dog bun

Ketchup & yellow mustard to taste

Optional: diced raw onion, sweet pickle relish

Steps

Preheat skillet or grill to medium-high.

Lightly score the hot dog once lengthwise (prevents bursting).

Grill or pan-sear the hot dog 4–6 minutes, turning so all sides brown evenly.

Warm the bun on the grill 30–60 sec.

Place hot dog in bun, add mustard, ketchup and relish/onions if using. Serve immediately.

Tip: Browning the hot dog a little adds big flavor — don’t just boil.
