SOMETHING’S HAPPENING IN THE JUNGLE
Imagine trying out designer clothes in a jungle boutique, or eating creative fusion food and drinking unique concoctions designed by local foodpreneurs in a rainforest setting. SUNGAI CONGKAK RECREATIONAL FOREST came alive with a buzz of activities on Saturday designed to showcase local artisans and their creations. It was a big picnic with a twist – with families and pet owners thronging the vibrant event with the lush rainforest setting giving it a back-to-nature vibe.
The 2-day event is organised by People and Postcodes and is co-organised by Tourism Selangor and 1Balcony (Asian Property Review, REM), and sponsored by Sheng Tai International Group.

KARL LAGERFELD HOTEL TO BOOST MELAKA’S POSITION AS FASHION CITY

The introduction of the KARL LAGERFELD Tower, to comprise a hotel and branded residences, sets an unprecedented move as the first KARL LAGERFELD Hotel in South East Asia.

It will occupy The Sail Melaka’s prestigious Fashion Tower, which will be the first of its kind in Malaysia. The endeavour is part of a series of transformative initiatives led by Dato' Leong Sir Ley, Chairman and President of Sheng Tai International. It is also set to establish Melaka's position as a vibrant and thriving Fashion City in the region.

“Making Melaka a centre for fashion, while leveraging the city’s uniquely rich heritage and culture, is our vision. Our long-term goal is to not only nurture local talent, but also welcome global investments, creating a wave of opportunity and prosperity in the country. We’re delighted to have KARL LAGERFELD and their forward-looking ethos on board with our plans for the future,” said Dato' Leong.

The groundbreaking announcement was unveiled during an exclusive event, attended by esteemed dignitaries, industry leaders, and regional investors. The event which took place in the spectacular Encore theatre in Melaka was graced by the presence of the Chief Minister of Melaka, YAB Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, and Pier Paolo Righi, the Chief Executive Officer of KARL LAGERFELD who flew in for the event recently.

The PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia in partnership with iProperty kicked off the programme’s milestone 10th edition with an intimate gathering for some of the country’s top developers and business leaders.
As the Malaysian economy gears up for recovery and further improvements to the housing market, PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards, in collaboration with PropertyGuru For Business, organised a luncheon recently for C-suite executives and senior industry figures at Sabayon @ EQ, the award-winning, fine-dining rooftop restaurant in downtown Kuala Lumpur.
The luncheon comes ahead of the presentation of the 10th PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia in partnership with iProperty on Friday, 24 November 2023 at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the official venue of the Awards.
