ASIAN | Khavish Varman Varadan has realised a long-cherished dream of earning an Asian Tour card after navigating the gruelling five-round Qualifying School in Hua Hin, Thailand.

A closing three-under 69 saw the 25-year-old settle for T19 on six-under-par at the Lake View Resort and Golf Club, with the leading 35 players securing playing rights for the 2026 season on the Asian Tour.

Khavish joins Ervin Chang, who finished inside the top 65 on the Order of Merit this season to retain his card.

Meanwhile, Shahriffuddin Ariffin narrowly missed out on a card, finishing two shots off the mark following a three-over 75 final round.

ASIAN | A career-best T3 finish at the Saudi Open presented by PIF saw Malaysia's Ervin Chang complete a remarkable week, leaping from 75th to 41st on the Asian Tour Order of Merit to retain his tour card for 2026.

Playing a blinder just at the right time, the 27-year-old carded rounds of 68, 64, 69 and 68 to finish on 19-under-par at the US$1 million season-ending championship - four shots adrift of champion Bjorn Hellgren from Sweden.

“Honestly speaking, to be very honest, I woke up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep after that. I think because just kind of knowing what's at stake, and knowing a top 10 finish guaranteed me a card for next year," said the former SEA Games gold medallist.

"Something I learned this year, talking to the more seasoned players out here, was that if you play good enough golf, it’s going to take care of itself. So, I'm just grateful and thankful for the opportunity that I have out here right now," said Ervin, who only missed three cuts in 15 starts on the Asian Tour this year.
