DRIVE | Thinking about a golfing trip up North with your EV?
Don't fret as ROYAL PERAK GOLF CLUB now has not one but TWO DC fast chargers by TNB Electron on-site.
One of them is located at the RPGC Tennis Court and features a 120kW DC charger, while another 240kW DC charger is also available at the RPGC Garden Hotel. Each of these chargers features two charging bays alongside a JuiceUp card payment terminal.
To activate charging, you’ll need to tap your credit/debit card at the terminal and there’s a pre-authorisation amount of RM50 which will be refunded after charging is completed.

WATC | Malaysia returns to the World Amateur Team Championship stage as the women's trio of Jeneath Wong, Foong Zi Yu, and Charlayne Chong bid for a worthy performance in Singapore this week.
Hosted by the Singapore Golf Association (SGA) and conducted by the International Golf Federation (IGF), the 72-hole bi-annual competition tees off at the highly-rated Tanah Merah Country Club with 36 nations vying for honours.
Malaysia’s most recent participation was in Ireland back in 2018, with our best performance coming in 2012, where we finished 25th in Turkey.

WCGC | Isyraf Widad Muhammad Ikmal Opat and Muhammad Adib Ibrahim from Widad Skycore (M) Sdn Bhd emerged as the national champions of the inaugural World Corporate Golf Challenge - Malaysia presented by ENOTECH on Sepetember 25.
The duo, playing to a combined handicap of seven, recorded 42 Stableford points to top a 20-team field during the national final staged at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club and will represent Malaysia at the WCGC World Final 2025 in Shanghai, China, from October 19 to 23.
Joining them at the World Final will be Anushka Gayan and Lee Robert of Leonian Malaysia, placed second on countback. Their inclusion follows a successful appeal by organiser Elora Global Sdn Bhd for an additional Malaysian berth.

PGM | The domestic women’s professional golf scene received a shot in the arm with the unveiling of The Ladies, which will take place from October 13-15 at The MINES Resort & Golf Club.
The landmark women’s professional championship will feature 60 of Malaysia's top women golfers - professionals and amateurs - competing in a 54-hole stroke play event for a total prize purse of RM100,000.
The tournament begins with a pro-am tournament on October 12, which will be attended by royalty, celebrities, and prominent members of society.
The MINES is hosting the championship in collaboration with the PGM Tour to mark the 25th anniversary staging of the Women’s World Cup of Golf at The MINES in 2000.
Professionals Lim Siew Ai and Lim Ai Lian, who represented Malaysia at the 2000 World Cup, will serve as ambassadors of The Ladies championship.

Malaysia’s Shahriffuddin Ariffin settles for a T5 finish at the US$500,000 Mandiri Indonesia Open following a disappointing final round 74.
The second- and third-round leader conceded back-to-back bogeys late on to slip to 15-under-par alongside Thailand’s Pawin Ingkhapradit (66) at the Pondok Indah Golf Club course in Jakarta.
Suteepat Prateeptienchai of Thailand fired a composed eight-under par 64 which included two eagles to reach 24-under and claim his fourth Asian Tour title.

AMATEUR | Malaysia’s top-ranked women’s amateur Jeneath Wong is set to headline Malaysia’s challenge at the 2025 World Amateur Team Championship (WATC) in Singapore this October.
The reigning Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific champion will be joined by 2023 SEA Games bronze medallist Foong Zi Yu and Universiti Utara Malaysia standout Charlayne Chong in the squad.
Thirty-six teams will compete for the Espirito Santo Trophy from October 1-4 at the Tampines Course of Tanah Merah Country Club with South Korea defending the championship.
