The curtain has closed on our Don Giovanni run, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us at KLPAC. Your presence and support made each performance truly memorable.

We hope you enjoyed the show as much as we enjoyed bringing this masterpiece to life. Special thanks to our talented cast, crew, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.

As Malaysia’s only active western opera company, KL City Opera is dedicated to raising awareness and appreciation for opera across the country. Our mission is to cultivate opera as an integral part of Malaysia’s arts and cultural landscape, making it accessible to new audiences while supporting and growing our community of artists, musicians, and fans.

🚦 Please come early—major road closures are in effect for the ASEAN Summit. Give yourself extra time to arrive and park.

✨ Join us for a special pre-show talk at 6PM with our stage director Heather Tan and enjoy a FREE drink* at Richard Bistro with every main meal for pre-show dinner!

With road closures in KL due to the ASEAN Summit, why not skip the stress and join us early at KLPAC? Before each Don Giovanni performance, enjoy a special pre-show talk by our acclaimed Stage Director, Heather Tan, at the Pentas 1 foyer.
About Heather Tan:

Born in Singapore, Heather is the first Singaporean to study opera direction at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Her directing credits span Europe and Asia, including The Magic Flute, Carmen, La Bohème, Don Pasquale, The Marriage of Figaro, and Handel’s Messiah—staged in Singapore, China, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Belgium, and Greece.

Heather’s work is known for its “abstract, but always close to people and their stories,” blending German and Southeast Asian influences. In 2025, she debuts at Staatstheater Augsburg with Mathildes Liebestod, directs Carmen at Vienna’s OFF Theater, and brings Don Giovanni to both Vienna and Kuala Lumpur with KLCO. She also leads Butterfly Lovers in Chengdu and collaborates with Sumi Jo to represent opera for Asian audiences.
