We’re thrilled to share that members of KL City Opera were featured in a news segment by Front Line (CGTN) about the simulcast of The Merry Widow by the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Beijing, held at TGV Suria KLCC on 20 December 2025 at 7:00pm, presented by Live Viewing Entertainment.

It was such a unique experience to enjoy opera on the big screen alongside fellow opera lovers in Kuala Lumpur — and we’re honoured to be part of this international celebration of music and culture.

🎭 What a magical evening! ✨

We had the absolute pleasure of experiencing Franz Lehár's Die Lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow) live from the National Centre of Performing Arts in Beijing yesterday 7PM at TGV Suria KLCC. A huge thank you to Live Viewing for this incredible invitation!

The crystal-clear sound, stunning visuals, and those insightful behind-the-scenes interviews truly brought the performance to life. It was a masterclass in opera storytelling—from the stage to our screens.

Moments like these remind us of the power of opera to connect us across borders and bring the world's greatest performances right to our community. We're absolutely looking forward to future live streamings!

On 17 December 2025, Our Chamber represented by President, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶 and Operations Manager, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗲 were delighted to host a productive meeting with the Executive Producer of KL City Opera (KLCO), 𝗠𝗿. 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗻.

Discussions focused on how the Chamber and Kuala Lumpur City Opera can collaborate together to celebrate Italian culture through opera in Kuala Lumpur.
