All writers in the National Creative Content Industry are eligible for Membership, including writers of films, televisions, internet, animation, advertisements, radio, stage, novel, poems, short stories, magazines, lyrics and so forth. CREATIVEWRITERS GUILD MALAYSIA (CGM) is a non-governmental organization representing the primary creators of what is seen, heard or read on television, film, intern
et, websites and Digital Videos in Malaysia. Our members write everything from big budget movies to independent films, dramas, comedy, variety shows to daytime serials, broadcast and radio news, web series, documentaries, and animation. CGM also undertakes to develop creative writing and creative writers in the Creative Content industry in Malaysia and provides the following services: - Consultation, Courses, Lectures, Bulletin CGM (every 2 months), Registration of Works, Resource Centre & Database Editing, and Writing Competitions. Thus CGM provides fundamental courses in screenwriting for new writers and advance courses for established writers in order to meet the global standard. CGM also works with the community to attract the school leavers and graduates to the profession of screenwriting. This is in line with the government transformation program which focuses on job creation and Malaysia becoming a high income nation.
