URGENT by lawyer Jawad Boulos :the prisoner Samer Issawi who has been on hunger strike for 206 days was just moved from Al Ramla hospital to the hospital Assaf Harofeh to put him under heavy observation.The lawyer considers this move as a dangerous indicator and demands everyone to move to save Samer's life before it is too late.

HEBRON (Ma’an) -- Palestinians and foreign solidarity activists on Saturday set up a new protest village in the south Hebron hills, and vowed to remain there despite Israeli forces moving to dismantle the structures.

Early Saturday, activists set up steel-framed tents near the Palestinian village of al-Tuwani, calling the encampment "Canaan".

Dozens of Palestinian farmers and fishermen rallied in the Gaza seaport this week, launching several days of actions across the Strip to support boycotts of Israeli agricultural corporations.

Upcoming events will include a march by farmers, ending with the planting of olive trees, near the “buffer zone” around Gaza’s boundary with Israel on Saturday.

An international day of action against Israeli food exporters takes place this weekend.

A senior Fatah official has said that he expects Hamas to win "an overwhelming majority" in the Palestinian Liberation Organisation elections if they are carried out in a free and democratic fashion. Nabeel Amre's comments were reported by the Palestinian Al-Resaleh newspaper on Thursday.

Mr Amre is the information and media advisor for Palestinian Authority President, and PLO Chairman, Mahmoud Abbas. If and when free elections are held, he told Al-Resalah, the real size of the factions' support will be made clear. "Some of the Palestinian parties are living on the legacy of their past. They do not have any real presence among Palestinians today."

He ruled out fresh elections for the Palestinian National Council in exile unless there is "real Arab pressure" exerted. "There must be a direct commitment from certain parties to conduct free and transparent elections."

Amre is due to visit Gaza next week, and said that he wishes every success to the Islamic movements in their efforts to overcome the political and economic obstacles facing them.
