5 months left in the year...

What if life suddenly took an unexpected turn?

Two months ago, after 25 years in corporate, I lost my job.

Some climbs are harder than we expect.

We woke up early this morning and headed out for a hike with our Royal Rangers. The trail wasn't easy. It was steep, muddy, and slippery. Two of our hikers slipped and fell, and many felt like turning back halfway.

But we kept encouraging one another.

One step at a time.

Slowly but surely, everyone reached the top.

It reminded me that life and building anything worthwhile are often like this. There will be obstacles, setbacks, and moments when giving up feels easier than pressing on.

Sometimes all we need is someone beside us saying, "Keep going. You can do this."

The view at the top made every step worth it.

Don't quit in the middle of your climb. Your breakthrough could be just a few more steps away.

Sometimes we pray for God to change our situation...

But sometimes, He chooses to change us first.
Looking back, I can see that every challenge taught me something—patience, resilience, gratitude, and faith.

Not every door I wanted stayed open. Not every plan worked out the way I expected.
Yet God has always been faithful.
He has provided, guided, and reminded me that my security isn't found in a job, a title, or even my own abilities—it's found in Him.

Whatever you're facing today, don't lose heart.
God is still working, even when you can't see it.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5–6

What comes to mind when you hear the words "digital marketing"?

For the longest time, I thought it was only for influencers, tech experts, or young people who knew everything about social media.
I couldn't have been more wrong.
Digital marketing is simply using the internet to connect people with products, services, or solutions they're already looking for.
I didn't start because I was an expert.
I started because I wanted to learn a new skill, create another income stream, and build more flexibility for my family's future.

If you're a working mum, employee, or someone wondering if it's too late to start something new, let me encourage you—it isn't.
You don't need to know everything today.
You just need to be willing to take the first step.

People sometimes tell me, "You seem to manage so many things."

The truth is... I don't manage everything perfectly.

I'm a mum. I'm a daughter caring for my elderly mum. I serve in church. Like many women, I have days when I feel stretched, tired, and unsure if I'm doing enough.

I've learned that life isn't about having everything under control. It's about deciding what matters most and trusting God to guide each step.

That's one reason I started building an online business. Not because life was easy, but because I wanted more flexibility and more choices for my family's future.

I'm still learning. I'm still growing. And that's okay.

If you're in a season of juggling many responsibilities, I hope this encourages you: you don't have to have everything figured out. Just keep taking the next faithful step.

There was a time when I believed one stable income was enough.

But life has a way of reminding us that things can change—rising costs, unexpected emergencies, job uncertainty, or simply wanting more time and choices for our families.

That's why I believe building a second income isn't about being greedy.

It's about being prepared.

I started learning something completely new, one step at a time, while balancing work, family, and church. You don't have to have all the answers—you just need to be willing to take the first step.

Sometimes the best memories aren't made in shopping malls or on screens—they're made by a river, with muddy feet, grateful hearts, and lots of laughter.

Today our Sunday School and Royal Rangers kids enjoyed a wonderful picnic together. We spent time playing in the river, sharing a Bible devotion, and learning about God's creation and His love for us.

To top it all off, our Royal Rangers cooked Maggi noodles for lunch. Simple food always tastes better after a morning of fun, teamwork, and fresh air!

Thankful for every leader who served, every parent who supported, and every child who came with joyful hearts. Praying these little moments will become lasting memories and seeds of faith that continue to grow.
