Bringing Stories to Light at Tan Kah Kee Memorial Museum

Projection mapping was the main visual layer of the exhibition, turning the L-shaped walls of the Tan Kah Kee Memorial Museum into one continuous storytelling surface, with a central sculpture acting as the main focus.

On top of that, we added a custom control system using sensors and real-time lighting control. With an Arduino-based setup and PWM signal control, we linked the existing museum lights into the experience, so they respond together with the projected visuals.

It was a fun process of connecting hardware, space, and storytelling—where projection, lighting, and interaction work together as one system, unfolding the story in real time.

A simple interaction designed to create a meaningful collective moment.

Visitors were invited to share their wishes through an iPad, using a custom-built web application developed for the installation. Each submission was collected throughout the session and later brought together as part of a shared visual display on the digital wishing tree.

A quiet and thoughtful experience, where individual messages come together to form something bigger.

Sometimes the simplest ideas create the strongest connection.

Cerita Kita - Laman Cerita

Throwback to Yayasan Sime Darby Festival (YSDAF) 2025, Elmina Lakeside Mall, we invited audiences to be world-makers. The project was initiated by artists Foong and Yi Kee . With creative technology powered by FabU, every drawing, color, and connection on our touchscreen arcade shaped the Cerita Kita World.

What made it powerful was the system behind it — a 5-in-1 Interactive Drawing Application.

Every interaction brought the digital world to life: 2D sketches became 3D meshes, food, cows, and stars emerged dynamically. The globe responded in real time, spinning to highlight each creation.

Audiences didn’t just play — they built and shaped a virtual planet together.

This project showcases FabU’s expertise in stylized 3D world-building, interactive graphics, and system design — transforming a simple arcade interaction into a living, evolving digital world.

Case Study: LUMI BOX – Cartoonify Photobooth @ EcoWorld Gallery, Eco Forest

Our Cartoonify Photobooth brought smiles, laughter and a whole lot of cartoon magic to the crowd.

In just 2 days (10 hours total) we generated:
- 276 AI Cartoon Videos
- 308 Instant Photo Prints
- Hundreds of participants engaged

Friends and families stepped in, transformed into cartoons instantly, and walked away with printed memories and shareable videos.

Safe to say — the queue never stopped.

This one’s built for movement. 🏃‍♂️ A collaboration with , who led the illustration & UX and brought us in to develop the interactive activation for New Balance’s running hub. Our role focused on turning personalisation into motion — from avatar customisation to a hacked walking pad that transforms each walk into digital output. The experience bridges digital and physical, generating personalised GIFs and extending the journey in-store through printed sticker packs. From warm-up to run, it’s an activation designed to move with the runner.
