UNIVERSAL Production

UNIVERSAL Production Universal Production (also known as UniProduction) is a Malaysia film production studio. It is one of the “Big Five” film studios in Malaysia.

Its production studios are located at Universal City in Port Dickson, Malaysia. Distribution and other corporate offices are in Kuala Lumpur City. Universal Production is a member of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). Universal Production was founded in 2001 by Edmond Yap Soon Fatt and Lai Sammi. They are the first major Malaysia studio. They mainly focus in producing digital films

and main function in organize television Programme. Universal Production had been cooperate with Disney, Marvel, Pixar and many more in film production industry. Three of Universal Production’s films; Dragon Park (2002), S&S 3 Slow and Steady3 (2008), Despicable You (2013) achieved box office records, with the first two (which were directed by Lai Sammi) all becoming the highest-grossing film at the time of its initial release.
