The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) has confirmed that its vessel Mikeno has successfully entered Palestinian waters near Gaza and is currently the nearest flotilla ship, about 20 kilometres from the enclave’s shores.

However, the latest update from GSF’s communication centre states that they are unable to fully verify the vessel’s final situation.

AIS tracking shows that Mikeno is inside Gaza waters, but its route does not match the usual movement of a sailing ship.

While the vessel’s location is confirmed, it remains unclear if participants are still onboard, and Gaza residents have not sighted the vessel from the shore.

The ship carries participants from Brazil, Turkiye, the Netherlands, Norway, the United States, Spain, and Malaysia (represented by actress Ardell Aryana).

If Mikeno truly reaches the Gaza coast, it would mark the first successful civilian flotilla landing in Gaza in recent decades.
