Lately, I have been learning about nutrition and diet again. It's been a while since I was actively researching and learning about this topic.

Let's talk carbs! As one of the three key macronutrients, carbohydrates are the primary fuel for our cells. Think of them in two categories:
🍞 Complex Carbs: These digest slowly, providing lasting energy and promoting stable blood sugar.
🍬 Simple Carbs: These are absorbed fast, which can cause quicker rises in blood sugar.
Your choices between these types, and how much you eat, directly impact your energy levels and metabolic health after eating.
Ideally, we want to choose Complex Carbs. Here's where to find complex carbs—the kind that give you steady, long-lasting energy:
1) Wholesome Grains: Like brown rice, oatmeal, and whole-wheat bread.
2) Beans & Lentils: Think chickpeas, black beans, and lentils.
3) Starchy Veggies: Your filling favorites like potatoes, corn, and peas.
4) Non-Starchy Veggies: Almost all other veggies! Broccoli, spinach, carrots, and peppers are great examples.
