The Multimedia Group of Companies has been participating in the recorded-entertainment industry for over 20 years, started with an agency for distribution and rental of video tapes in the Klang Valley and shifted to content copyright purchase, investment of blockbuster movies, production of local films,TV programs and media marketing businesses.
In 1999, led by Datuk Steven Lim Boon Siong, the founder and Group Managing Director of Multimedia, the Company moved into the area of Copyright purchase and commissioned local manufacture of materials for distribution under titles acquired from overseas companies.
The Company has a policy of sourcing and acquiring Rights to the most popular revenue-generating Chinese, English and Korean at the time of initial release, or even at the pre-release stage. In addition to its existing agreements with Copyright holders from around the world, the Company is negotiating with a renowned China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan based movie-production and broadcasting corporation to acquire Exclusive Distribution Rights of their worldwide Programs for the Malaysian market.
Multimedia has obtained the Exclusive TVB Video Distribution Rights for Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore Territories. The Company has the sole rights to manufacture, to rent, to re-sell, and also solicit video commercial airtime in all TVB’s Programs via its Video Distribution.
