1st day of July 2025 marks a truly special milestone – our bookstore turns 40.
Forty years ago, this place began as a small dream: a quiet corner for readers, a shelter for stories, a space where ideas could live and breathe. We didn’t know then how many lives would pass through these doors, how many conversations would start over a book, or how many memories would be made between our shelves.
We’ve grown with generations of readers. Some came in as children holding their parents’ hands, and now return as parents themselves. We’ve seen faces light up with the discovery of a new favorite author, the thrill of a long-awaited sequel, the comfort of a dog-eared classic. Through changing times and technologies, this bookstore remained – as steady as the printed page.
It hasn’t always been easy. There were quiet seasons, rising rents, and the digital tide. But what carried us through was the unwavering love of our community – your support, your belief that a local bookstore is more than a business. It’s a living story.
To every reader, every friend, every staff member past and present: thank you for being part of our journey. Thank you for letting us be part of yours.
