17th December 2025, my daughter QiQi officially graduated from primary school 🥹💖
Six years. One journey. A lot of memories… and yes, a very “special” COVID chapter that none of us will ever forget.
Back in 2020, when QiQi was only Standard 1, school life started normally… for about 3 months only 😅
Just when she was getting used to wearing uniform, carrying a school bag, and calling her teacher confidently — boom! COVID-19 arrived. School closed, classrooms disappeared, and suddenly…
➡️ School moved into our living room.
That was when she began online schooling via Google Meet.
Teachers became tiny faces on the screen, classmates became little boxes, and the most famous sentence at home was:
“Teacher, can you hear me?”
“Teacher, my mic cannot on.”
“Teacher, my camera lagging.” 😂
Sometimes lessons were paused because WiFi was “missing in action,” and parents unknowingly became part-time teachers, IT support, and discipline masters all in one.
Then came 2021 – Standard 2, another unforgettable year.
She finally started to recognize her classmates properly… but only half a year in school.
The other half? Back to home again 🏠💻
School bag on the chair, laptop on the table, normal outfit at home (because school uniform suddenly “no longer needed”), and full focus on the screen — the true online-school fashion trend 😆
By the time 2022 arrived, COVID said goodbye (finally 🙌).
QiQi was already Standard 3, and this time — confirm can go to school!
No more “mute button drama,” no more “camera off,” just real classrooms, real friends, real laughter, and real memories being created again.
But… there was one small problem — her school uniform suddenly couldn’t fit anymore because she grew up too fast 😆 New uniform, same excited smile!
From Standard 3 to Standard 6, school truly became her second home.
There were exams, homework, performances, sports days, laughter with friends, small tears, big achievements, and endless stories shared after school. Over these years, she grew not just taller, but stronger, more confident, and more independent.
A big thank you to all the teachers ❤️
You didn’t just teach in classrooms — you taught through screens, through uncertainty, and through one of the most challenging times in education history. Your patience and dedication will always be remembered.
To her friends — thank you for growing up together, whether online or offline. From Google Meet squares to sitting side by side in class, these friendships are precious.
As a parent, today my heart feels full — proud, emotional, grateful, and a little bit “how did time pass so fast?” 🥹
Six years flew by in the blink of an eye.
Dear QiQi,
Congratulations on completing your primary school journey 🎓✨
You survived homework, exams, online classes, and even COVID schooling — you can survive anything 😄
May the next chapter be even brighter, happier, and full of new adventures.
Thank you, primary school.
Thank you, teachers.
Thank you, friends.
And thank you, memories — especially the funny ones 💖
And now… next level unlocked! 🎮
QiQi will be stepping into secondary school for the next 5 years — new campus, new teachers, new friends, heavier school bag, more homework, and definitely more “Why so many subjects?” moments 😂
From a little girl to a teenager learning life skills, this journey is only getting more interesting.
May she grow wiser, braver, and taller than mummy (maybe 😆), and continue chasing her dreams with confidence and kindness.
Primary school: completed ✔️
Secondary school: coming soon… 🎓😄
