At the world-famous Goodwood Festival of Speed the all-electric Porsche GT4 ePerformance has kicked off its world tour, which aims to highlight the potential of the vehicle concept and the associated racing formats.

The new Porsche GT4 ePerformance has demonstrated its power publicly for the first time at the Festival of Speed in the south of England. The outing on the 1.9-kilometre hillclimb course in the grounds of the Goodwood estate also marked the launch of the GT4 ePerformance world tour. Over the next two years, the innovative test vehicle will travel around Germany and beyond. The aim is to demonstrate the potential of the cutting-edge vehicle concept and the possibilities of racing formats associated with it to customer racing teams, partners and decision-makers in the motorsport world.

BUGATTI ASPREY “LA VOITURE NOIRE” SCULPTURE AND NFT AUCTIONED

The legend of “La Voiture Noire” has evolved once more with the sale of a one-of-one sculpture by Asprey and accompanying NFT to a passionate collector for £378,000 in a live auction hosted at Phillips in Berkeley Square, Mayfair. Inspired by the infamous lost Type 57SC Atlantic and its modern-day reimagining, the Bugatti “La Voiture Noire”, Asprey’s studio created a unique gold sculpture and original artwork fused with an NFT.

Marco Wittmann narrowly misses out on a podium with fourth place at home event – Fifth place for Philipp Eng on Saturday.

• Marco Wittmann starts Sunday’s race in Nuremberg from third place and finishes fourth in the BMW M4 GT3.

• Philipp Eng comes home fifth for the Schubert team after a chaotic Saturday race.

• On its 50th anniversary, BMW M was Presenting Partner of the DTM race weekend at the Norisring.

Norisring. A chaotic Saturday race, with many retirements, saw Philipp Eng (AUT) finish fifth and score valuable points for the Schubert team. The outfit from Oschersleben (GER) continues to lead the Team competition. On Sunday, Marco Wittmann (GER) drove a strong race to finish fourth at his home event. The two-time champion came home fourth, narrowly missing out on another podium after his third place at Imola (ITA). BMW M again celebrated its 50th anniversary as Presenting Partner of the weekend at the Norisring. Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH, and Andreas Roos, Head of BMW M Motorsport, attended the event to mark the occasion. In the DTM Classic Cup, BMW M works driver Bruno Spengler (CAN) made a successful guest appearance at the wheel of a BMW 320i STW.

Successful start for Mercedes-AMG Motorsport in GT World Challenge Europe at Imola

For Mercedes-AMG Motorsport, the first season round of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola ended with a double podium, a PRO-AM class victory and another class podium. After an action-packed race with numerous safety car interventions and full-course yellows, the #88 Mercedes-AMG GT3 of the Mercedes-AMG Team AKKODIS ASP ended up in second place overall while the #2 Mercedes-AMG Team GetSpeed entry also made it onto the podium by finishing third. At the same time, the #20 SPS automotive performance car got the new year off to an optimal start with its PRO-AM success. The #5 Haupt Racing Team Mercedes-AMG GT3 secured another podium result during the premiere of the newly introduced Gold Cup as it finished third in this category.

World Premiere of the EQS SUV at Mercedes me media: The all-electric luxury SUV

Save the date: On Tuesday, 19 April 2022 at 12:00 p.m. (CEST), Mercedes-EQ will present its first all-electric luxury SUV with space for up to seven people – the EQS SUV. The digital world premiere can be seen on the Mercedes me media platform and other channels. Executive Board members Ola Källenius and Britta Seeger present the highlights. The EQS SUV redefines the SUV segment, leading it into the electric age. Its world premiere will stream live at https://media.mercedes-benz.com/EQS-SUV and be available afterwards as video-on-demand on the platform.

The EQS SUV is the third model based on the new modular architecture for premium and luxury class electric vehicles. It brings the distinctive purpose design to the SUV segment: The new model combines the progressive design and comfort of the EQS saloon with the space and versatility of the popular SUV concept. In the interior, intuitive digital controls and innovative trim elements merge to create an avant-garde ambience.
