Itai Dzamara was a Zimbabwean 🇿🇼 journalist And pro Democracy Activist who Disappeared on 9 March 2015 after being abducted outside a barbershop in Glen View, Harare.

Witnesses reported that five unidentified men handcuffed him, accused him of cattle theft, and drove him away in a white vehicle with concealed number plates.

Before his disappearance, Dzamara had become well known for organizing peaceful protests against the government of then-President Robert Mugabe, including the Occupy Africa Unity Square movement, and had publicly called for political and economic reforms.

As of today:

His whereabouts remain unknown.

His family has never received definitive information about what happened to him.

Zimbabwean courts ordered authorities to investigate and report on the case, but human rights organizations have criticized the investigations as inadequate and have continued to call for an independent inquiry.

Because there has been no conclusive investigation, it is not publicly known what ultimately happened to Itai Dzamara or who was responsible for his disappearance. Human rights organizations describe his case as an enforced disappearance and continue to press the Zimbabwean authorities to establish the truth.

🔴South African Court Approves Extradition of Zimbabwean Activist Wellington Masiwa Amid Regional Debate🔴

Johannesburg – A South African court has ruled in favour of extraditing prominent Zimbabwean political activist Wellington Masiwa to face charges in his home country, a decision that has sparked intense debate across the Southern African region about asylum protections, political persecution and the independence of the judiciary.
The ruling comes after months of legal proceedings marked by repeated postponements, disputes over identity documents and concerns from Masiwa’s supporters that he is being targeted for his outspoken criticism of the Zimbabwean government.

BREAKING 🚨😳🇬🇭🇿🇦

Ghana has reportedly rejected a planned visit by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa following the killing of Ghanaian fashion designer Bashir Isak during the recent anti-migrant unrest in South Africa.

What was meant to be a diplomatic visit has now turned into a major political statement as tensions between the two countries continue rising. 😳💔

Say less 😮‍💨: The xenophobia crisis is now affecting diplomacy too.

🇿🇦 'HANDS OFF LIMPOPO': LIMPOPO PREMIER DR PHOPHI RAMATHUBA'S SUPPORTERS RALLY AFTER ANTI-ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION ACTIVISTS SAY THEIR MARCH WAS BLOCKED

Tensions continue to rise in Limpopo following a planned anti-illegal immigration march linked to activists Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma and Phakel'umthakathi (Nkosikhona Ndabandaba).

According to reports, the activists had planned a march in Limpopo as part of the ongoing March and March campaign, which is calling for stronger action against illegal immigration. However, supporters claim the demonstration did not go ahead as planned after authorities intervened, leading to accusations that the march had been blocked.

Soon afterwards, large crowds gathered in support of Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba, with many chanting "Hands Off Limpopo" while waving South African flags. Police maintained a heavy presence to monitor the gathering and prevent clashes. The demonstrations come amid growing nationwide tensions over immigration, with similar marches taking place in several provinces in recent weeks.

The wider March and March movement, led by Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, says it is campaigning against illegal immigration and has announced plans to continue demonstrations every week until the government responds to its demands. Meanwhile, President Cyril Ramaphosa and other officials have said immigration enforcement must remain the responsibility of law enforcement agencies and not private citizens.

The events have sparked heated debate across South Africa, with some supporting the activists' demands for tighter immigration enforcement, while others have raised concerns about public safety, vigilantism, and the rights of migrants.

Do you think the Limpopo march should have been allowed to proceed, or were the authorities right to stop it?
