GREEN SCHEME VISIT | President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Sikondo Green Scheme in Kapako Constituency, Kavango West Region, where she engaged with stakeholders and observed ongoing agricultural activities aimed at enhancing food security.

The President is accompanied by the agriculture and Presidency ministers Inge Zaamwani and Charles Mubita.

WATCH | Meet 19 year-old middle and long-distance runner Maria Kanyanga from Kavango West's Mukekete village in Tondoro constituency.

Kanyanga has at many occassions put the region on the map for her dominant performances at different national competitions.

She will now carry the Namibian flag at the Southern African Confederation of Athletics (SACA) U/18 and U/20 championships in Mauritius from 5 - 7 June 2026 in the 1500m event.

Kanyanga's success in the track events is attributed to hardwork, dedication and passion by those who know her.

SCAMMED | Johannes Marovhu from Cwi village shares how he became a victim of a scam that left him financially devastated.

Marovhu says he received a call from an unknown person pretending to be an FNB employee, who gave him several instructions to follow.

During the call, he was repeatedly instructed to switch off his phone. He later realised that while his phone was off, money was being withdrawn from his account without his knowledge.
