🎙️🇳🇦 Walvis Bay Maritime Week 2026 Officially Opens

Walvis Bay Maritime Week 2026 officially opened at the Civic Centre in Walvis Bay, bringing together learners, stakeholders and industry leaders for a programme centred on maritime awareness, education and engagement.

The occasion was honoured by Honourable Veikko Nekundi, Minister of Works and Transport, who delivered the keynote address, while guests were also entertained by a performance from DJ Spuzza.

A major highlight was the National Debating Competition Grand Finale, followed by the announcement and prize-giving of the winning regions:

🥇 1st Prize – Omusati Region
🥈 2nd Prize – Kavango East Region
🥉 3rd Prize – Ohangwena Region

Congratulations to all participating learners for representing their regions with confidence, critical thinking and passion.
