Good morning, Child of God
The Storms of Faith
There is a kind of faith that is born, not in convenience, but in the moment when Jesus stands on troubled waters and says, Come. It is not the faith that waits for everything to align; it is the faith that draws strength from the sight of the One who calls.
Faith was never designed to pamper the flesh. God didn’t institute faith to make men comfortable; He gave it to make men conformable to the image of Christ. That’s why sometimes faith will lead you through a storm, not around it, because the journey is designed to fix your eyes.
Many begin with joy when they step out of the boat. The thrill of walking on water can feel glorious. But faith is more than a moment of excitement. It is training your vision to behold Him who is invisible even when the winds scream louder than your thoughts.
The enemy’s strategy has not changed. He knows he can not drown a man who sees Jesus. So, he sends distractions; offense, fear, confusion, and even delay. But if you can keep your eyes, you’ll keep your feet.
And should you ever start to sink because of weariness or weakness don’t forget: the same hand that called you out is ready to catch you. He doesn’t just call men forward; He rescues them mid-fall.
But how beautiful it is, not to sink at all. To walk, steady and sure, because your pursuit was singular and your gaze unbroken.
When the storms rise, remember: the One who walks on waves is also the One who speaks peace to them. He is both your Shepherd in the valley and your destination on the hill.
