There are many Namibians ( and South Africans) that are on a serious mission to find employment or to change current companies. Unfortunately in todays competitive environment it is not enough anymore to search for a suitable position and then apply.

How many rejections and non-answers did you get from your efforts in the past 3 months? The secret lies in understanding what exactly a company is looking for and then market these skills and knowledge to the potential employer. Of course it helps a great deal if you already networked with the company before a vacancy does exist.

Approaching the correct people in the companies is key. In order however for this to happen you must know exactly what you are good at and how it will benefit the potential employer that you are approaching. Too many people just want a job, but little people work their passion.

This is the golden key to not only get employment but work for a company and people where you enjoy going to work everyday! There are plenty of companies out there that simply treats employees like cattle in a barn.

Departments that are full of office politics and Employers that have a very questionable work ethic towards their employees! If you know what you are worth and actively investigate and network with these companies ( people) you will quickly see if you can blossom at a certain job or employer. If not then rather say NO.... it will safe you a lot of hassle and you are free to move on to someone where you can grow!
