A 13-year-old boy took his own life by hanging himself with a rope on Ohanda Street in the Tutaleni area of Kuisebmond, Walvis Bay.

The boy, identified as Victory Amalovu, was at home with his cousin, who reported that she left him cleaning the bathroom before heading to work.

Upon her return around 11:40 AM, she noticed he was missing and assumed he had gone outside to play. Later, around 7:00 PM, while getting up to turn on the geyser in the garage, she discovered him hanging from the iron bar of the garage door.

No su***de note was found, and next of kin have been notified. Victory was a Grade 6 learner at Sea Side Primary School in Kuisebmund.

Police investigations are ongoing.
