VILLAGE TOURNAMENTS TAKE CENTRE STAGE THIS FESTIVE SEASON

SNC Incorporated reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots sport after sponsoring the 3rd edition of the Nakabolelwa Annual Tournament, which took place from 22–24 December 2025 at Nakabolelwa Village in the Kabbe South Constituency, Zambezi Region.

The firm committed N$45,000 towards the tournament, supporting both football and netball activities. The sponsorship forms part of SNC Incorporated’s belief that sport plays a vital role in unearthing and nurturing talent in rural areas, strengthening community bonds, and creating meaningful opportunities for young people across Namibia.

Commenting on the sponsorship, SNC Incorporated Managing Partner, Shakwa Nyambe, said: “The Nakabolelwa Annual Tournament continues to be a shining example of unity and local pride. It is a privilege for us to stand alongside the organisers, athletes, and supporters who make this event a success year after year.”

The tournament brought together communities during the festive season while celebrating sport, talent development, and social cohesion.

Namibia was invited to attend the Ordinary IF Congress in Cairo, Egypt, from 19–22 December 2025, in recognition of the strong growth of Namibian Handball.

Namibia’s presentation highlighted efforts to provide handball study materials in indigenous languages, removing language barriers and promoting the sport in all communities, including disadvantaged areas.

The federation’s president Issy Nakamwe attended the meeting.
