🏉 NAMIBIA RUGBY UNION PARTNERS WITH NRRS TO ADVANCE REFEREE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING

The Namibia Rugby Union (NRU), in collaboration with the Namibia Rugby Referees Society (NRRS), has announced a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening referee development and training.

The NRU has officially recognised the Namibia Rugby Referee Academy as a development partner to support the recruitment and training of new referees across all levels of the game. This initiative aims to strengthen the rugby officiating landscape in Namibia in alignment with World Rugby standards and the NRU’s long-term growth objectives.

Namibia’s Antsino Twanyanyukwa has been named the referee for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final, set to take place in Morocco.

In what is a landmark moment for the country, Antsino becomes the first Namibian official to take charge of a WAFCON final — a testament to her composure, skill, and strong officiating throughout the tournament.

She will lead an all-female officiating team, underscoring CAF’s continued commitment to investing in women’s football across the continent.

CAF Head of Refereeing, Desire Noumandiez Doue, praised her progress, noting that Antsino has been one of the most consistent performers in the tournament — and is a promising prospect for future global events.

RISING STAR JONATHAN KASHEETA DEPARTS FOR FIRST INTERNATIONAL PRO FIGHT 🇳🇦✈️🇹🇿

Namibia’s fast-rising boxing talent Jonathan Kasheeta (7–1) has officially departed for Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where he will step into the ring for his first professional bout outside of Namibia in the WBO Youth International title showdown.

He’s set to face Tanzania’s Kalolo Amiri this Saturday, 26 July, at the Kijitonyama Posta Grounds in the headline event titled ‘Knockout Ya Mama’.

Fighting out of Black Diamond Boxing Club, Kasheeta has built an impressive record of 7 wins and just 1 loss, quickly gaining attention as one of Namibia’s most promising boxing prospects.

PUBLIC ENTERPRISES | The 10th edition of the Public Enterprises Games officially kicked off in Swakopmund with a vibrant street procession!
