ALL ABOUT FISH - The nbc team, represented by National FM Media Planner Gordon Joseph and Kaisames FM’s Destiny van Wyk, took top honors at the Namibia Fish Consumption Promotion Trust (NFCPT) Media Cooking Competition. The competition was held during the ongoing Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair, celebrating creativity, teamwork and the versatility of fish as a nutritious and affordable food choice. NFCPT continues to champion efforts to make fish more accessible and affordable to Namibians.

Update: The re-burial ceremony that was today for liberation heroes Nduuvu Fillemon Nangolo, Hafeni Immanuel Shifidi, Immanuel Ndemulungila, and Nathaniel Maxuilili.

Symbolic ceremonial burials were also being accorded to Tobias Hainyeko and Brendan Simbwaye. The repatriated remains of Simon Niilenge and Festus Nehale who also died in captivity during the liberation struggle have finally been laid to rest.

NEWS | The official reception ceremony to commemorate the arrival of ancestral and mortal remains, casts, and cultural artefacts repatriated from South Africa is taking place at Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA).
The repatriation includes the remains of two former Robben Island political prisoners and veterans of Namibia’s liberation struggle, Simon Petrus Niilenge and Festus Nehemia Nehale, as well as 84 ancestral human remains contained in 77 caskets.
