Omoyele Sowore has condemned the NDLEA for destroying cannabis reportedly worth millions of dollars, describing the action as a waste of economic opportunity.

Sowore called on the government to stop destroying cannabis farms and instead consider legalising and properly regulating cannabis.

He argued that regulation could support research, unlock its medicinal and industrial potential, create jobs, generate government revenue and help build an industry that Nigerians can benefit from.

These evil people had to sacrifice close to 50 lives in violence before and during the Osun election, all just to prove that “agreement is agreement.”

And when I said GOV ADEMOLA ADELEKE has nothing upstairs, it took him less than 24 hours after INEC declared him the winner to announce that he was supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s re-election because Tinubu is a Yoruba man.

Yet the people who lost their lives in the violence were mostly Yoruba people. Neither side has said anything about those killed. Who killed them? Who ordered or enabled the violence? Who is investigating their deaths? Where is the justice for their families?

To them, what appears paramount is protecting family political interests, securing power and preserving access to the spoils of government, while ordinary Nigerians are left to carry the pain, grief and sorrow.

Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo has urged Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to honour an alleged agreement to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term in 2027.

However, Adeleke has also been urged by Nigerians to remain committed to the rule of law and support a free, fair and credible election in Osun State in 2027.

He has further been advised not to allow any political agreement with the APC to interfere with the democratic choice of the people, who, supported, and stood by him in defence of their electoral mandate.
