Mr. and Mrs. Michael Obinna finally tied the knot in a dramatic turn of events after their wedding was abruptly cancelled by the Assemblies of God Church, Okpu 2, Aba, on April 20, 2025. Despite months of planning and meeting numerous requirements, the church cancelled the ceremony on the morning of the wedding, citing the bride’s failure to sleep in the church as part of their doctrine.

According to the bride, Rebecca—who is Catholic—she and her fiancé, a new convert to the Assemblies of God Church, had followed all instructions, including baptismal classes and other preparations. However, they were continuously faced with unexpected and increasingly strict conditions from church leaders.

On the wedding day, after battling bad weather, dress delays, and anxiety, Rebecca arrived at the church only to be told the ceremony had been cancelled. Family members pleaded with church officials, but the leadership stood firm, even taking down the couple’s wedding banner.

Undeterred, the couple moved to a nearby church, where they were warmly welcomed and wedded the same day.

“To the glory of God, we were finally joined in holy matrimony,” Rebecca said. “It wasn’t easy, but love won in the end.”

The Current shutdown of the Ogdidibien oil facilities by the itsekiri community youth has raised great concerns.
The oil facility producing 28,000 barrels per day in Ugborodo, Warri South-West Local Government Area, was shut down on Wednesday the 9th day of April 2025 by aggrieved Itsekiri protesters over alleged marginalisation in ward delineation by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

It is important to note that the outcry and show of discontentment by the Itsekiri people within the aforementioned community is a call for help to avert being de-enfranchised rather than allowing this go through a peaceful resolution ,the chairman of TANTITA Security services limited has resolved to whipping ethnic sentiment as decoy to distract the general public from the crux of the issue and also creating ethnic tension in the area.

The issue of who is in charge of the protection of this these pipeline and asset is a blunt fiticious claim to tarnish the image of the revered monarch Olu of Warri and a deliberate attempt to misinform the public. For clarity,the management of NNPC under the steer of Mallam Mele Kyari separated the entire oil producing Niger Delta into three (3) sections; The Western , Central and Eastern corridor. Two (2) out of this corridors are managed by Tantita and Associate company .For the records, the said Ogidigben is deep within the western corridor under close watch of Tantita Security Services Limited and the statement of denial clearly shows a deliberate act of not standing up to responsibility and lopsided engagement in the surveillance contract within the Western Niger Delta and deliberate act to ensure the illegitimacy pointed out by the Itsekiri people is misconstrued by the public as an ethnic fight rather than allowing them address the concerns raised.

For the purpose of transparency, I will enjoin the public to fact check the claims of Chairman of TANTITA security limited.

In a swift respond to the alleged claim by Tantita the pipeline infrastructure Nigeria limited (PINL) had debunked every statement to that regards.

Kalabari TV contacted Victor udoh an oil and gas analyst, who confirmed to our correspondent that the oil field is not under PINL but tantita and that such information are misleading

Governor Otti Visits Fire-Ravaged Enyimba Stations, Pledges Support for Recovery

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, visited Enyimba TV & Radio Limited on Sunday to show support following the devastating fire that struck the facility on Saturday night at Oron Road, Aba. The fire destroyed the three-in-one radio station and the affiliated television stations.

During his visit, Governor Otti expressed sympathy to the management and staff, pledging that his administration would assist in the recovery process. He urged calm in the wake of this significant loss to the broadcasting community and the people of Abia.

The Governor also emphasized the importance of fire safety, particularly with the dry season approaching, advising both individuals and businesses to install fire extinguishers and implement preventive safety protocols.
