THE GREATEST LESSON I LEARNT FROM DELILAH – REV. FUNKE FELIX-ADEJUMO
The greatest lesson I learnt from Delilah was how to make my laps a resting place for my husband's head. I don’t justify sin, I’m strongly against it, but the reason why some men are into adultery is because their wives are thorns.
Inside every man, there are three major personalities: a lover that wants to play, a king that wants to reign, and a little boy. It is the one you address that responds. That man you are married to today is used to lullabies. When he was hugged as a child, his mother would sing songs to him. So, when he turned 25, 28, or 32, the mother transferred that responsibility to another woman, his wife.
What kind of song are you singing for your husband? Every husband is a dancer, and every action is a song. Your husband is still dancing to it. Even your bad character and words are songs. You determine the song, and you also determine the mood.
What kind of songs do you sing into your husband’s ears? Every statement you make is a song to him.
Men, most of you don’t know when your wife is in pain. She doesn’t say it out, especially when you’ve done something wrong to her. Most of you men are full of commendation in church and condemnation at home. You are always quick to correct your wife, but do you commend her? Do you think you are spiritual just because you feel you are doing the work of God in church?
Anointing does not answer to adultery. Prayer is not the answer to adultery. No matter how big or great a man is, by the reason of adultery, he can be reduced to a piece of bread. Anointing answers to discipline.
