My heartfelt to my Benue state indigenes and visitors😭😭
The primary duty of a LEADER is to secure life and property.
When such leaders fail to do this primary obligation, they should resign.
The most annoying part is that the Governor of Benue State is a priest. For what reason did he leave his priesthood to become a politician? One would think he saw a need for Change; he saw a lack of leadership and decided to offer one.
The more powerful you become in Nigerian politics, the more your hands will be tied to do the right things.
Governor Alia can sack his press secretary for joining the protest and deploy Armoured Vehicles, Helicopters, and Tear Gas Against Unarmed Benue Protesters, but cannot do the same to fish out perpetrators of the crime. He is just acting and doing the bidding of Abuja politicians.
If Governor Alia can not offer leadership in protecting the life and properties of the Benue people, he should tender his resignation letter.
