What an incredible time at LinkedIn Local - Abeokuta conference last Saturday!

One thing that stood out to me was a profound statement made by , a Visual Storyteller and the head of media production,

He said, "GOD CAN NEVER LEAVE YOU IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO START NOW WHAT YOU WANT TO START."

He continued, "Don't wait till you have all the equipments or everything you need—start with what you have now, and the money you need will come from it." So, "THINK BIG, START SMALL, ACT NOW."

One of the panelists, Mr. Badero Jeremiah-Jesu also made some mind-blowing points.

He said, "CONTINUE your journey and do your best. The next step comes after this one (the step you're taking currently). So FOCUS on what you're doing now and do it well."

He continued, "Don't wait until you have a full understanding of your purpose before you start. Begin with what you can do, and keep doing it well. Clarity will come as you progress."

What could be more powerful than these statements from amazing speakers? Thankfully, I didn't miss this conference! (I almost missed it actually✌️)

DIGITAL LITERACY WORKSHOP IS HERE AGAIN!!!

1ST SLIDE
Last year, we took the Digital Literacy Workshop to the IJEMO community, partnering with His Will Computer Services Limited, for a 2-week computer training program. The program empowered teenagers with computer literacy, Microsoft programs, and essential skills for thriving in the rapidly evolving digital age.

2ND SLIDE
This year, from April 21st to 27th, we're bringing the same DIGITAL LITERACY WORKSHOP to MCTOBS College, Isabo, Abeokuta.

Our goal is to equip school pupils and teenagers in and around Isabo, Abeokuta, with computer literacy skills and the necessary skills to prepare them for the tech-driven world, thereby setting a strong foundation for their relevancy, financial stability, personal growth, and career development in this ever-evolving world

Creating designs can be a rollercoaster ride. Some days as a designer, you receive a design brief (project) and inspiration strikes immediately. You know exactly what to design, and before you know it, you've created something amazing.

But then there are days when a new design project comes along, and you're overcome with nerves. Doubts creep in, and you wonder, "CAN I REALLY DO THIS?"

However, with a dose of courage, I accept the challenge. At first, the project seem dull, spending hours or even days searching for inspiration is another issue entirely. Ideas seem elusive, but there's no giving up.

I head to my software, and begin experimenting, joining elements together until something amazing emerges.

This is how creating designs can be.

To all designers out there, keep pushing forward! I'm rooting for you.

It takes creativity to bring elements together and create a unique design.

The second slide reveals the elements combined to achieve the design on the first slide.

This was accomplished using just a smartphone, revealing that a lack of a good system (laptop) is not a hindrance to mastering the design craft.

With your smartphone, you can create great designs that rival those made with more advanced systems, if you know how to use it though🤷‍♂️.

Besides, the design was cookie🥰🤗😎

2024 Christmas wishes Flyer Design for Christ Bethel Academy

I had a blast creating this design!

The process, from extracting elements to crafting the background and finally bringing everything together, was unexpectedly somehow funny to me.

It was a fun app-hopping adventure!

4 different apps were combined for the whole creation.

One was used to extract elements and create the background, another to craft the design, a third to enhance the quality of the images and elements, and a fourth to color grade.

The design was cookie🥰🤗😎
