To those condemning Sheikh Faruq Onikijipa, let’s take a moment and really put ourselves in his shoes. On the day of his daughter’s wedding, the King of Fuji music was faced with the demise of our late mother.

Despite the loss of his late mother, he still managed to grace and perform at the occasion of Sheikh Faruq Onikijipa's daughter’s wedding, on the very same day his mom returned back to Allah.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong; do we really believe Sheikh Faruq Onikijipa shouldn’t have return the King of Fuji music's kindness by performing at his daughter’s wedding ceremony?

After all, Sheikh Faruq Onikijipa may just trying to honor the respect and generosity he received from the King of Fuji music. For all I know, Sheikh Faruq Onikijipa has done the needful by telling the King of Fuji music to publicly apologise.

Though, I blamed whoever leaked the video, as Alhaji was having a private conversation in his home, (May God forgive our sins), and the statement "GANU" was a slang, that I believe most people from Lagos Island could relate to.

Nonetheless; can the social media noise makers explain to me what Sheikh Faruq Onikijipa did wrong here? Let's BLAME THE ODALE that posted the King of Fuji music's private conversation on social media.(AWON ODALE BALEKU). I come in peace

Part of the activities lined to celebrate the annual Pan-Afrikan Drum Festival is Pan-Afrikan Drum Festival Awards. The 2024 Edition was held Friday June 28th, 2024, in Toronto, Canada🇨🇦

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke was honored at the first edition of The Pan-Afrikan Drum Festival but, he couldn't make it.

This year, he was represented by the Osun State Commissioner For Youth, Honorable Moshood Olagunju Hon Olagunju Moshood Olalekan

The Award was presented to him by the Ghana High Commissioner to Canada, His Excellency Anselm Sowah.

THE FASCINATING HISTORY OF OGBOMOSO TOWN

Join us as we delve into the rich history of Ogbomoso, a vibrant town in Oyo State, Nigeria.

Founding & Early Years

In the 17th century, brave hunter Ogunlola of Ibariba descent settled in the present-day Ogbomoso with his wife, Esuu. They built a hut near an ajagbon tree, still standing today near the Soun's palace.

The Alongo Society

Ogunlola met four other hunters: Aale (Nupe), Onisile (Otta prince), Orisatolu, and another hunter at Akande. Together, they formed the Alongo society to protect the settlement, hunt, and support one another.

Ogunlola's Bravery & Leadership

Ogunlola's exceptional hunting skills and his wife's to***co s***f and guinea corn-wine made him a natural leader. He became the head of the village, resolving disputes and discussing important issues.

The Battle with Elemoso

Imprisoned at Oyo-Ile, Ogunlola offered to hunt down the notorious warrior, Elemoso. With the Alaafin's permission, he killed Elemoso, earning his freedom and the title "Soun" (traditional ruler).

Origin of Ogbomoso's Name

The settlement was renamed "Ogbori Elemoso" (one who carried Elemoso's head), later shortened to Ogbomoso.

Rise to Prominence

Ogbomoso grew from a village to a strong town, playing a significant role in Yoruba history.
