MEN ARE NOT POLYGAMOUS IN NATURE ππ
The notion that men are inherently polygamous is a misguided concept that warrants scrutiny. Proponents of this idea often cite nature as the justification for this behavior. However, this argument is fundamentally flawed.
Nature refers to the inherent characteristics and qualities that govern the natural world. It is natural for humans to engage in essential activities such as eating, drinking, and relieving themselves. Nevertheless, it is ludicrous to suggest that polygamy is an inherent aspect of human nature.
The idea that men are predisposed to polygamy is not supported by empirical evidence or biblical teachings. In the biblical account of creation, God provided Adam with a single companion, Eve, thereby establishing the foundation for monogamy.
Rather than being an innate trait, polygamy is often a consequence of personal choices and decisions. The propensity for multiple partners can be attributed to a lack of discipline, poor moral upbringing, and societal influences.
It is alarming to witness educated individuals, who should know better, perpetuating the myth that polygamy is natural. This line of thinking is not only misguided but also undermines the values of commitment, loyalty, and fidelity that are essential for building strong, healthy relationships.
Furthermore, if polygamy were truly an inherent aspect of human nature, we would not witness individuals choosing a life of celibacy or dedicating themselves to religious vocations. The existence of reverend fathers, reverend sisters, and others who have committed to a life of chastity contradicts the notion that men are naturally polygamous. If men were indeed programmed to be polygamous, there would be no exceptions, no individuals who choose a different path. The fact that there are individuals who defy this supposed natural inclination underscores that polygamy is a choice, not an innate trait.
Conclusively, polygamy is not an inherent aspect of human nature. Instead, it is a product of individual choices and decisions. As we strive to cultivate a society built on moral integrity and respect for one another, it is essential that we reject the flawed notion that polygamy is natural and instead promote values that uphold the sanctity of monogamous relationships."
