It’s frustrating how people destroy others’ reputations all in the name of politics.
My choice of candidate doesn’t have to be yours, and yours doesn’t have to be mine. Yet politics keeps driving wedges between people—brother against brother, spouse against spouse, bosses against employees, even clergy against clergy. Youths turn against each other, colleagues fall apart, churches divide, and communities, wards, states, and parties are constantly at odds.
Everywhere you look, there’s division from every angle and conflict on every side. So-called campaign managers and supporters appear out of nowhere, many of them insincere. Betrayal comes from those once trusted as allies. Some individuals exploit candidates for personal gain, while others scheme just to stay relevant in the system.
Meanwhile, many ordinary people are simply searching for honest work to support their families, but instead, some are being recruited and trained as thugs for elections. It raises a serious question—where is our conscience? What happens to the families left behind if something goes wrong?
So much hate, so many wrongs. Today’s friend can easily become tomorrow’s enemy, all because of politics. When will it end?
