Man and Masquerades" is an experimental art film that follows the story of Nwankeagu, a young violist and painter who struggles with the trauma of watching his father (a highly respected masquerade) commit su***de.
At the time of the film, agu meetsGbenro a popular OAP being secretly abused by his wife. their unexpected meeting opens old wounds, causing Nwakeagu to confront his own past and start his journey toward healing.

The film is an exploration of African masculinity and a vital portrait of the impact of rigid gender bias, assumptions, and stereotypes in most societies in Africa. A story that is not commonly told about the African man. Every African man has certain high societal expectations placed on them, but heavy is the head that wears the crown.
