“If IShowSpeed Comes to Nigeria, I Will Ignore Him” – Peller’s Old Video Surfaces

An old video of the popular Nigerian TikTok streamer Peller has resurfaced online, in which he boldly declared that he would ignore IShowSpeed if the American streamer ever visited Nigeria.

To recall, IShowSpeed, Darren Watkins Jr, who is currently on his massive "Speed Does Africa" tour across 20 countries, arrived in Nigeria on January 21, 2025 coinciding with his 21st birthday. Since then, he has been touring various parts of Lagos State, streaming live and interacting with fans and local creators.

Despite Peller's multiple attempts to connect with IShowSpeed including reportedly chasing him on horseback and pleading for a collaboration or shoutout, security bouncers repeatedly blocked him from getting close. Videos show that even when IShowSpeed appeared to notice Peller, he showed no sign of recognition or interest, choosing instead to walk away or ignore him entirely on several occasions.

This has sparked speculation online, with many Nigerians digging up the old clip where Peller said something along the lines of: "If IShowSpeed comes to Nigeria, I will ignore him the same way he ignored me" in his DM.

Could it be that IShowSpeed or his team came across this video during pre-tour research and decided to give Peller the cold shoulder in return?

Whether intentional payback or just tight security and disinterest, the situation has become a major talking point, highlighting how past online statements can come back to h4unt you especially in the fast-moving world of streaming and social media.
