Electorate Set To Make A Definitive Choice For Karu/Keffi/Kokona Federal Constituency

As the 2027 general elections draw near, the political narrative in Nasarawa State is undergoing a monumental shift. The electorate in the Karu/Keffi/Kokona Federal Constituency is turning away from old-style patronage toward grassroots empowerment, accountability, and practical competence.

At the center of this movement is Hon. Emmanuel Akolo, PhD, a Chartered Accountant and seasoned professional flying the banner of the Labour Party (LP).

Representing the "Papa, Mama, Pikin" movement, Dr. Akolo’s candidacy offers a bold alternative centered on social justice, fiscal responsibility, and genuine public service.

His vision focuses on transforming the constituency through targeted economic empowerment for small businesses along the busy Karu-Keffi corridor, modernizing local education to match current job markets, and aggressively lobbying for federal infrastructure to support the area's booming population.

THEY INSULT, WE WORK; THEY CAMPAIGN FOR US WITHOUT KNOWING IT

The All Progressives Congress (APC), which we have turned into an opposition party in Nasarawa State today, appears to have run out of meaningful things to tell the people. That is why its attention is constantly focused on insulting and attacking the aspiration of the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, a former Inspector General of Police.

But honestly, it is all good. Let them continue.

Every time they mention Ex-IGP Adamu, they keep his name in the minds of the people. Every time they attack his aspiration, they give us another opportunity to talk about his vision, his records, his empowerment programmes, and his commitment to the people of Nasarawa State.

We are not angry. We are not distracted. In fact, we welcome the attention because they are doing part of our work for us.

Politics should not be reduced to insults, propaganda, and personal attacks. It should be about ideas, character, competence, service, and the ability to convince the people that you have what it takes to lead.

While they are busy attacking Ex-IGP Adamu, we will remain focused on the people. We will continue to engage communities, listen to their concerns, support those who need support, and present a clear vision for a better Nasarawa.

They may think they are weakening the aspiration of Ex-IGP Adamu, but they are only making more people curious about the man they keep talking about. And perhaps, without realizing it, they are also teaching themselves an important lesson: you cannot defeat a growing political movement simply by insulting its candidate.

The people are watching. They can see the difference between noise and action, propaganda and performance, insults and ideas.

We believe we are teaching them what politics should be about: winning the confidence of the people through service, humility, engagement, and genuine commitment, not through bitterness and desperation.

So, let them continue talking.
They insult, we work.
They attack, we engage.
They make noise, we deliver our message.
They mention Adamu, they promote Adamu.

At the end of the day, it is not political parties that will decide the future of Nasarawa State. The people will. And we are confident that when the people speak, their voice will be heard loud and clear.

The journey for a better Nasarawa continues with Ex-IGP Adamu.

Earlier Dr. Emmanuel Akolo, the Labour Party candidate for the Karu/Keffi/Kokona Federal Constituency, was in Karu LGA for an expanded engagement with artisans across the area.

At the invitation of the association, Dr. Akolo, alongside his delegation, engaged extensively with the group to discuss and fine-tune a Social Contract outlining the key expectations and priorities of artisans from his representation, in exchange for their votes and support. The engagement provided an opportunity for open dialogue, mutual understanding, and a shared commitment towards building a representation that is responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people.

In his remarks, Dr. Emmanuel Akolo expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the artisans for their unwavering support and their willingness to work collectively towards his victory in the 2027 election.

He also used the opportunity to appeal for their support beyond the Federal Constituency race, urging them to support Rt. Hon. Gaza Jonathan, the Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate in Nasarawa State, in the 2027 gubernatorial election.
