🇷🇺🇺🇦 RUSSIA–UKRAINE WAR: DIPLOMACY RETURNS, BUT FIGHTING CONTINUES.

Fresh efforts to end the war are underway after Russian President Vladimir Putin held more than three hours of talks in Moscow with U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

The discussions were described as constructive, but no breakthrough or peace agreement was announced. The U.S. delegation is expected to continue its diplomatic mission with talks in Kyiv.
Although both Russia and Ukraine agreed to temporarily pause strikes on each other's capitals during the diplomatic visit, fighting continues across the front lines, with drone and missile attacks still reported in several regions.

A Greek Air Force F-4E Phantom II fighter jet crashed during the Athens Flying Week airshow at Tanagra, north of Athens, on Saturday.

The two pilots aboard the aircraft were killed in the crash. Emergency services responded to the scene, while the remaining airshow activities were cancelled.

Greek authorities have opened an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. The country's armed forces have also announced a period of mourning in honour of the two pilots.

🇺🇸⚠️ The United States has renewed its Level 4: "Do Not Travel" advisory for Libya, urging American citizens to avoid all travel to the country due to the high risk of terrorism, armed conflict, kidnapping, crime, civil unrest, and the presence of unexploded landmines and explosive remnants of war.

The U.S. Department of State also warned that it has extremely limited ability to provide emergency or consular assistance to U.S. citizens in Libya because there is no operating U.S. Embassy in the country.

Americans currently in Libya are advised to leave when it is safe to do so and to closely monitor developments in the security situation.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 MIDDLE EAST UPDATE: U.S. STRIKES 3 IRANIAN OIL TANKERS.

The U.S.-Iran confrontation has escalated further.
🇺🇸 U.S. Central Command says American forces struck three Iranian crude-oil tankers on Saturday after Iran launched ballistic missiles toward two U.S. Navy warships.

According to the U.S. military, two tankers were permanently disabled while a third was destroyed. No American personnel were injured.

Washington says the vessels were part of a network allegedly providing financial support to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Iran has also accused the U.S. of striking an Iranian tanker near Kharg Island, one of the country's major oil-export hubs.

With tensions already high around the Strait of Hormuz, the latest strikes could mark another significant escalation in the U.S.-Iran confrontation.

The war of words between Israel and Iran is heating up, with both sides sending increasingly sharp warnings as tensions across the region remain high.

🇮🇱 Israel's message:
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has warned that if Iran attacks Israel, Israel would respond with overwhelming force. He threatened strikes against Iran's national, military and civilian infrastructure, including energy facilities, saying Israel could push Iran back to the “Stone Age.”

🇮🇷 Iran's response:
Iranian military officials have warned that Tehran would respond “faster and more forcefully” to any new Israeli attack. Iranian Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia also said Iran is shifting toward a more pre-emptive military posture.

The rhetoric comes after renewed U.S.-Iran military confrontations and amid continuing tensions involving Israel, Iran and their regional allies.

For now, the message from both sides is clear:

Israel says an Iranian attack will trigger a powerful response. Iran says any new Israeli attack will be met with an even stronger retaliation.

A truck became trapped at a railway crossing in Gdańsk, Poland, before a passenger train came speeding through and slammed into it.

With hundreds of passengers reportedly aboard, the collision could have ended much worse.

The truck driver survived, while the train driver and two passengers reportedly suffered minor injuries. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported.

The dramatic moment has sparked fresh questions about safety at railway crossings.

Russia has stepped up its attacks on Ukraine, with a Russian drone striking the headquarters of Ukraine’s security service in Kyiv.

The attack comes at a sensitive moment, as U.S. envoys are expected to engage with both Moscow and Kyiv in renewed efforts to push the sides toward a possible peace agreement.
Ukraine has called for a temporary pause in air strikes while diplomatic discussions take place.

But on the battlefield, the opposite appears to be happening.
