*REFUSE DIVINATION (I)*
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2025
PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

*DEUTERONOMY 18:9-11* “When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.”

*KEYWORD:* Divination is a counterfeit, a dangerous path that offers temporary insight at the cost of eternal compromise.

Beloved, many who have sought help from witch doctors, mediums, or native practitioners may be shocked to discover that God addressed this issue long ago in His Word. He spoke emphatically about whom His chosen ones are to associate with, emulate, or turn to in times of need. This instruction was deliberate, for God had already established Himself as the mighty deliverer of His people. He had demonstrated His power with signs and wonders that struck fear into the hearts of the nations surrounding Israel. No other god, spirit, or practitioner could match His authority or ability.
As members of the New Covenant, we are not exempt from this command. Through adoption into God’s family, we have received His protection and guidance, and the same principle applies: we are never to seek divination, witchcraft, or contact with familiar spirits, no matter the challenges we face. Such practices are abominable in God’s sight, and engaging in them breaks fellowship with Him.
You may reason with yourself: “I just want to know my future… I want to get revenge… or perhaps I want quick financial gain.” Beloved, none of these reasons justify turning to diviners. Divination is a counterfeit, a dangerous path that offers temporary insight at the cost of eternal compromise. Our Heavenly Father sees all things, knows all things, and is more than able to defend, guide, and bless His children. Why would we seek inferior help when the Creator of heaven and earth stands ready to act on our behalf?
This year, refuse to entertain or consult anyone involved in divination, enchantment, witchcraft, or familiar spirits. Turn fully to God; seek His counsel through prayer, His Word, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. He alone is your Defender, Deliverer, and Provider. Walk boldly in His truth and power, confident that nothing can stand against you when you trust in Him. Shalom!

*PRAYER:*
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word and for the assurance that You alone are my Defender and Deliverer. I refuse every form of divination, enchantment, or consultation with familiar spirits. I declare that my help, guidance, and protection come from You alone. Strengthen me to walk in Your truth and power all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*ISAIAH 62:9* “But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.”

*KEYWORD:* The season of reward is here, and God’s hands are full of blessings ready to be poured out on those who remain steadfast.

Beloved, we have entered a year in which God is declaring, loud and clear, that the labours of His children will no longer be in vain. We, who have willingly committed ourselves to serve in the courts of our God, lifting our voices in praise, dedicating our time and resources, and glorifying His name, are the very ones who will partake of the blessings promised in our opening scripture. This is to be a season of rejoicing, of abundance, and of overflowing provision, even as the world around us wrestles with scarcity and limitation.
Why is this so? Because those who labour faithfully with the Lord are made the first beneficiaries of all that He has prepared. You see, the first fruits of our dedication and diligence are reserved for the obedient, for those who persist in walking in His ways. It is the faithful partaker who enjoys the sweet reward of his labour, the one who has faithfully sown, waited, and persevered in accordance with God’s instructions.
Have you grown weary, wondering if your efforts have made any difference? Perhaps you have thought, “Nothing seems to be changing in my life.” Now is the time to rise again, beloved, and return to your post with renewed vigour. The season of reward is here, and God’s hands are full of blessings ready to be poured out on those who remain steadfast. Half-hearted service or quitting midway will never unlock the full measure of what God has prepared for you.
This year, beloved, the Lord desires that we walk in victory, not in loss. So, put your hand to the plough with fresh zeal and unwavering commitment. Accept greater responsibilities, grow in trustworthiness, and execute every task and goal He assigns with joy, gladness, and excellence. As you do, the blessings awaiting you will overflow beyond what you have room to contain, beyond what you have imagined. Let no person, circumstance, or challenge shake your confidence in God. He will not fail you, and His promises are sure. Glory to God!

*PRAYER:*
Thank You, Jesus, for revealing to me that this is my year of reward with You. Thank You for counting me faithful even when I felt weary. I avail myself to serve You more than ever before, trusting fully in Your help, guidance, and wisdom. Let my labour be pleasing in Your sight and bring glory to Your name, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2025

*JOB 12:17* “He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.”

*KEYWORD:* This year is a year of supernatural protection and divine victory. Walk boldly, speak confidently, and live fearlessly, for God is with you always.

Beloved, understand this: God is absolutely able in every situation. He is never overwhelmed, never intimidated, and never caught off guard even when the enemies arrayed against you number in the hundreds, the thousands, or even the millions. The host of angels He has assigned to guard you far surpasses any army, any counsel, any scheme the enemy can muster. These angelic forces are perfectly equipped to execute His plans for your protection and triumph. It therefore behoves you to walk every day with a conscious awareness of this truth.
God does not desire that only He knows His intentions for your life; He wants you to know as well. This revelation shapes how you see yourself in Him, empowers your confidence, and influences every decision you make. Ignorance of His power and protection can tempt even the strongest believer to rely on human methods, strategies, or worldly “safety nets” for security. But God’s Word today assures you: there is absolutely no need for that.
The Lord is fully capable of preserving you in the midst of danger. He can turn your enemies’ schemes into nothing, frustrate the counsel of counsellors, and make the words of even the most clever judges powerless against you. Swords, snares, and traps meant to harm you will be nullified. The strategies of the wicked will collapse before your very eyes, and what they imagine in secret will not come to pass.
Consider this: the wicked have no understanding of what God can do on your behalf. If they did, they would never dare to strut into your life with arrogance or attempt to oppose you. But their ignorance is your advantage. God’s power will frustrate them, His wisdom will confound them, and His angels will execute justice in your favour.
Beloved, this year is a year of supernatural protection and divine victory. Walk boldly, speak confidently, and live fearlessly, for God is with you always. Whatever challenges, attacks, or obstacles come your way, remember: His hand is mighty, His counsel is flawless, and His power knows no bounds. Rejoice in the certainty that you will prevail, because the Lord of hosts fights for you and no opposition can withstand Him. Glory to His name!

*PRAYER:*
Father, I thank You because You are my defence and deliverer. I declare boldly that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Every counsel of the wicked is frustrated, and I walk daily in Your victory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*ROMANS 8:15* “For ye have not received the spirit of bo***ge again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”

*KEYWORD:* You are not small, you are not helpless, and you are not without backing. You carry the Spirit of the Living God within you.

Yesterday, we saw the kind of fear we are permitted to entertain—the fear of the Lord. This is not the crippling fear that enslaves men, but a holy reverence, an awe-filled recognition of who God is and what He can do. To fear God is to acknowledge His majesty, His authority, His wisdom, and His power above all else. It is to look at Him with trembling wonder, not because He is against us, but because He is infinitely greater than anyone or anything that could ever stand against us.
Now, the Word reveals that God has not left us in bo***ge to fear. Instead, through Christ, He has brought us into the warmth of sonship. By the Spirit of adoption, we are empowered to boldly call Him “Abba, Father.” Think of it! The Almighty, the One before whom nations tremble and mountains melt like wax, has brought you into His family. You are no longer a stranger nor a servant trembling at His feet; you are a son, a daughter, who can approach Him with confidence and love.
This adoption is not just a title; it is a covering. It is a shield no adversary can pe*****te. Evil may attempt to rise against you, but it must bow before the authority of your Father. Satan himself may try to whisper fear into your heart, but he cannot undo what Christ has sealed with His blood. To bow to fear of men, circumstances, or powers is to cheapen the sacrifice of Jesus. It is like walking back into the chains He broke on the cross.
Beloved, lift up your head. See God for who He is, your Father, your Protector, your Defender. The Word says in 1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
This is your reality. You are not small, you are not helpless, and you are not without backing. You carry the Spirit of the Living God within you. That Spirit marks you, seals you, and empowers you to walk in victory every single day. As you hold the Lord in the highest honour within your heart, no fear can enslave you again. You are chosen, you are covered, and you are sent forth to display His praises. This year, His hand upon your life will silence your adversaries, and His presence within you will remain a terror to the enemy. So, let your reverence be reserved for Him alone, and let boldness rise in your spirit as you declare: “Abba, Father!” Shalom!

*PRAYER:*
Father, I thank You for adopting me into Your family and giving me the Spirit of sonship. I reject every spirit of fear and walk in holy reverence of You. Let my life continually glorify You in all that I do, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

*1 SAMUEL 21:10-12* "And David arose, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath. And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands? And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath."

*KEYWORD:* When fear grips your heart to the point where you begin to panic about your safety, your future, or your tomorrow, know without a shadow of doubt that it is not of God.

Contrary to popular opinion and the experiences of many today, fear of men, fear of circumstances, and fear of the unknown are not what God intended for man when He created him in His own image. God never designed fear to dominate or dictate the course of a man’s life. Yet, it is sadly evident in our world that people have developed different kinds of phobias, clothed in high-sounding names, and have accepted them as a normal part of life. This is not the will of God. He knows the crippling effect of fear, and He is well aware of the limitations it imposes on the man He created for greatness. Fear builds invisible chains, shackling destinies and preventing advancement into the fullness of what God has ordained.
When fear grips your heart to the point where you begin to panic about your safety, your future, or your tomorrow, know without a shadow of doubt that it is not of God. Scripture says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). This clearly tells us that the spirit of fear comes from somewhere else, not from the Father.
It is important, however, to distinguish between being afraid and being wisely cautious. To be cautious is to act with wisdom, vigilance, and prudence in the face of danger. To be afraid is to be paralysed, robbed of faith, and drained of strength. The former is God’s wisdom at work in you, while the latter is the enemy’s tool to weaken your trust in God. You must learn to evaluate yourself in the light of this. Is your hesitation born out of godly wisdom, or is it because fear has clouded your confidence in God’s promise?
Our opening scripture presents us with David’s experience. Here was the same David who had once slain a lion, a bear, and a giant named Goliath; yet in this moment, he was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath. Fear had gripped him because of the words he heard, words that reminded him of the reality of his vulnerability. Sometimes we too may find ourselves in David’s shoes, brave yesterday, but today, trembling at the uncertainty of what lies ahead.
But David did not end his story with fear. He rose beyond it by turning to God in prayer. In Psalm 56:3-4, he declared: “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.” This was his anchor, his way of shifting the focus from man’s threats to God’s ability. Beloved, you must also learn to respond the same way. Fear will come knocking, but your decision must be to anchor your trust in God, knowing that your life, your safety, and your future are secure in His hands alone. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER:*
Father, I refuse to be bound by the spirit of fear. I choose to trust in You and Your promises for my life. Strengthen my heart to always remember that my times are in Your hands. Amen.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2025
PASTOR MARTINS OMONUA

*MATTHEW 17:9* “And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.”

*KEYWORD:* Every word spoken at the right time carries power, beauty, and eternal impact.

It matters greatly that we are sensitive to both what God wants us to declare openly and what He desires us to keep quietly in the storehouse of our hearts until an appointed season. God is a God of timing. He knows why He permits certain revelations to be spoken at one time and why He withholds others until the fullness of His plan has come.
When God entrusts you with knowledge that is for your personal walk, it must remain hidden within you as a sacred treasure. When He imparts knowledge that is for the future, perhaps to be shared in a month, six months, or even a year, your responsibility is to guard it until that time. But when He gives you a word for immediate release, obedience demands you speak promptly, for delay in such moments can hinder His work.
The wisdom of God is bound up in timing. Some people stumble into error because they received a word before their hearts were mature enough to handle it. Others, in their impatience, broadcast what God revealed prematurely, thereby mismanaging a divine secret and dishonouring the trust He placed in them.
Imagine if Jesus had been hasty with His words, speaking ahead of schedule simply because He was the Messiah. Would His mission have unfolded with such flawless precision? Certainly not. Every word He spoke was measured and released “in the fullness of time.” On the contrary, Adam’s impatience and disobedience concerning divine instruction caused him to step out of God’s timing, and the result was the loss of glory.
Beloved, learn from the disciples who waited before they spoke of the transfiguration. Their silence was not weakness but wisdom. Every word spoken at the right time carries power, beauty, and eternal impact. As you journey through this year, do not let pressure, impatience, or pride push you to speak ahead of God. Guard the visions, revelations, and instructions He gives you until He Himself gives the signal to release them. In His time, everything is made perfect. Glory to God!

*PRAYER:*
Father, grant me the grace to discern Your timing and to know when to speak and when to remain silent. Help me to be faithful with divine secrets and obedient with divine instructions. May I never break Your trust but always walk in step with Your perfect timing, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

*PROVERBS 22:17-18* "Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips."

*KEYWORD:* This year, let Jesus be the centrepiece of every conversation, every story, and every encounter.

All God desires that you give this year is Jesus. He is the gift, the message, and the answer the world needs. God is not searching for silver, gold, or eloquence in your speech. He only wants to see that the name of Jesus is never absent from your lips and never missing in your conversations. Whether you are speaking to the saved or the unsaved, let your words drip with the fragrance of Christ.
God’s heartbeat is that His thoughts dwell richly at the centre of your heart, so much so that you cannot contain them but must release them. As you meditate on His grace, His mercy, and His finished work in your life, you find yourself compelled to share it. And every time you share, you plant seeds of eternal life in the hearts of men.
The realisation of what God has done for you is not only personal, it is contagious. When you speak of Jesus to the saved, your words become a source of encouragement, a spark to rekindle their faith, and a reminder that trusting God is never in vain. It inspires them to persist, to keep walking with the Lord, and to lean more deeply into His promises.
But when your words reach the unsaved, they create a holy contrast. Suddenly, they begin to see the emptiness of their present life compared to the fullness available in Christ. Your testimony becomes a mirror that reflects the hope, healing, and restoration they long for but cannot find anywhere else. Your lips, carrying the love of God, become the very tool God uses to heal wounded bodies and mend broken hearts.
So don’t hold back. Don’t keep silent when you feel that nudge in your spirit to speak. Remember, your voice may be the only sermon some people will ever hear. The Jesus you carry is the lifeline this dying world desperately needs: a rope of hope for the drowning, a beam of light for those lost in darkness.
This year, let Jesus be the centrepiece of every conversation, every story, and every encounter. Speak His name boldly and tenderly. Point others to Him not just with your words but with your life. Let them see Him in your smile, hear Him in your tone, and feel Him in your actions. And as they do, they will be drawn to the fountain of life—Jesus Himself. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER:*
Dear Father, I thank You for giving me Jesus, the greatest gift of all. I declare that His name will never depart from my lips. I speak His love, grace, and truth everywhere I go. Through my words and life, men will encounter Christ and be drawn to Your light. Amen.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2025

*2 CORINTHIANS 3:5–6* “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”

*KEYWORD:* The Jews witnessed a measure of glory for their time, but in you, the Spirit of Jesus unveils a far greater glory that never fades.

When you have taken time to receive from the Holy Spirit both the willingness and the grace to do His good pleasure, the joy that follows is the discovery of what your yieldedness unleashes. Suddenly, you begin to realise that through you, change will be birthed in many lives. He opens your eyes to see new levels of revelation, wisdom, and light that begin to saturate your environment simply because you have become a vessel through which His glory can freely flow.
The Holy Spirit makes you more than just a believer; He makes you an able minister. Your life becomes a channel of divine expressions, and your words begin to carry eternal weight. Through you, He reveals to men that true life is not in rituals or religion but in Christ Jesus. He tutors your thoughts so that you can discern how men reason, and then He empowers you to respond with Spirit-breathed solutions to questions that have troubled them for years. And as they listen, there is a supernatural transfer, the very life of God flowing from within you into them.
This life you carry in Christ far surpasses the fleeting glory experienced under the law. The Jews witnessed a measure of glory for their time, but in you, the Spirit of Jesus unveils a far greater glory that never fades. Through you, blind eyes see, hardened hearts melt, and dull minds awaken to the reality of grace, mercy, and righteousness found only in the Spirit-filled life.
Beloved, this is not the year to hold back. Give the Holy Spirit full rein in your life. Yield completely your desires, your dreams, your plans, and your voice so that He may mould you into everything He knows you can be, with His abundant help. When He works, there is no limit to what can be birthed through you. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER:*
Precious Holy Spirit, I yield myself to You fully. Work through me to bring light, revelation, and life to those around me. Make me an able minister of the new covenant, and let my life be a vessel of Your glory this year. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

*FURTHER STUDY:*
JOHN 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
