Lemme tell you a short story.

Dominic, a young and hustling guy who has worked all his life, faced some challenging times.

Dominic is a cool guy and detests anything that will trouble his spirit.

He treats everyone he comes across nicely and expects nothing in return.

Dominic experienced some challenges, and when he went to those he trusted for assistance, in the face of help, they defrauded him instead.

This broke his heart 💔

In his struggle, he found help in the hands of a stranger.

As frustrated as his situation was, he navigated them all and promised not to change his attitude of being kind and helping the needy when he could.

It is my prayer and wish that you prosper beyond your imagination this new month.

Let us March to the winning side.

You may be at risk when you get a job via a connection.

Growing up as a hustler I took every job that came my way to survive.

At a time I took this job as a nanny but the job came with other responsibilities, the usual Nigeria kind of job that as a content developer you will also be required to do marketing and sales.

As a nanny I looked after this woman's daughter and also assisted in her yoghurt business, her daughter grew fond of me and would always attach herself to me.

while working with her, she connected me to a friend of her husband who had a poultry and needed an extra hand, I got the job since it wasn't something that didn't meddled with the nanny job.

Everything was fine and okay until one ugly incident happened.

She had instructed me on the things to do before leaving the house but in the process of attending to the baby, I forgot a few of the things she said.

She was unhappy when she came back, she kept talking at the top of her voice and reported the issue to her husband, I was cautioned, and I apologized.

Thinking that was the end, the following day when I resumed work, she continued from where she stopped the previous night... LOL

It feels funny as I write but this wasn't funny, I was young, I was a teenager and besides people forget things sometimes, I already apologized and was remorseful, so why is she holding onto this one-time mistake?

After my activity that morning I never returned and when I reported for my poultry job, I was told to stop work.

I left because I prioritized my mental health and a kid that was the only way I could respond since my apology was not good enough.

In these days, honesty is a virtue that many people lack.

There are people labeled as stomach infrastructure, who boldly look into your eyes and tell you that white is red, leaving you wondering about their existence.

However, there are people who would rather lose a job than tell an obvious lie; they are honest and true to themselves.

Sometime ago, I was invited for an interview for the role of digital marketing. I was asked to critique their website. I gave my honest feedback, and after the interview, that was the last I heard from them.

Personally, I love it when I get honest feedback. It tells me what is missing and how I can improve my skills to be better.

I've sat with other candidates, and we were told to give honest feedback about their website, their response made me shook my head.

Embracing honest feedback is in your best interest and that of the company because it leads to growth and better output.

If you been on the opposite side of giving honest feedbacks you unlearn it and move to the bright side.
