AfriClime AfriClime leverages community voices in Africa to tackle the climate challenge

10/02/2024

The devastating impacts of climate change around the world and especially in poor and vulnerable communities have since been authenticated by science and occurrences around us. Yet while high level conversations on climate change are held in hotels, posh offices, and board rooms at global, regional, and national levels, little is done in terms of integrating the voices of community men and women who deal firsthand with these impacts and whom, perhaps, over the years have developed adaptive measures to deal with their reality.

The campaign launched by seeks to give voice to these community actions with the vision of amplifying these voices globally.

To participate, simply do a short video (not more than 2 minutes) showing the impacts of climate change in your community and what community-led efforts are being taken to adapt to it. Share this video on all social media platforms with the hashtags and tag us on all our social media handles. Be sure to write out your name and the name of your community while posting.

We will be reposting these stories and will do a feature with the top ten stories.

The video which we see as being the most authentic and solution-oriented will emerge the winning video and the creator will be rewarded with USD200 for his/her efforts.
No one will tell these stories but us. So, let us help you amplify your voices.

This campaign will run from February 6 to April 1, 2024.

Goodluck!
