woke up this morning with this particular meal on my mind. 😂

By 11am, I hadn’t even eaten breakfast yet, and all my body was asking for was pounded yam and egusi soup. Nothing else was making sense. 😂

My husband even called me to remind me about breakfast and asked, “Baby, what do you want to eat?

I told him, Pounded yam and egusi is what I want.

This man laughed at me. 😂
By 11am you want to eat this kind of meal?

I said, YES! That is what I want.😂

Then he said, No restaurant will even make that kind of food at this time.

I told him, I can actually make it myself.

Immediately he said, Baby, you know it will take you a lot of time.

I just said, “Okay, I’ll find something else to eat.😂

But this man did not know I had already made up my mind. I quietly went out with one mission to get everything I needed and make the food my body was craving. 😂❤️

When my husband came back and I served him the pounded yam and egusi, the look on his face was priceless! He was shocked and happy at the same time. 😂❤️

He sat down, ate everything and finished it completely. Then he looked at me and asked

Baby, how did you do it?😂😂

My dear husband, when the craving enters my head, just know that I’m on a mission! 🤣❤️

Sometimes, you just have to listen to your body and give it exactly what it is asking for. And honestly, this particular meal was SO worth the effort. 😋❤️

The way this particular soup called okoho dey hungry me, you go think say I get another thing with am specially 😂😭

Na so I wake up this morning and just decide say today, I must go find this thing for market. I entered market with full confidence, ready to search everywhere. 😭😂

After spending HOURS in the market, moving from one place to another, asking questions and even asking some people from my tribe wey I see for market, na there dem tell me say na Tuesday market I fit find am. 🥲

So like this now, all my waka, stress and effort today don waste? 😭😂

I no go lie, e pain me sha😂😭
But because this soup dey hungry me like this, Tuesday don already become appointment. I MUST FIND AM! 😂😂❤️

Since I got married, I’ve realized that my husband has become my favorite person in the whole world. ❤️

Even when I’m angry with him, the moment I see him, somehow he must say or do something that will make me smile or laugh. 😂❤️

Honestly, I can’t stay mad at this man for up to an hour because he will say something funny, do something silly, or simply look at me in a way that makes me forget what I was even angry about. 😂

My husband is not just my husband; he is my best friend, my playmate, my gist partner, my comfort person, and so much more. ❤️

I genuinely love the friendship we have with each other.🫶❤️🥰

There’s just something about food when someone else cooks it for you 😩❤️ It hits differently!

I told my sister-in-law that I was craving this particular food and would really love for her to cook it for me. Her response? “Say no more. Pack your bag and come with your stomach empty.😂😂

And trust me, I came prepared😂 I went there with an empty stomach, and this food was seriously worth the trip😋🔥 I enjoyed every single bite like someone who had not eaten in days. 😂❤️

Sometimes, you don’t need to cook you just need someone to cook for you and let you enjoy😂

Today’s little moment with my husband honestly made me smile. 🥹❤️

We were on a call this afternoon when he said, “Baby, I haven’t eaten since morning.

I asked him why, and he said he didn’t feel like eating anything outside. So I asked, “Okay, what would you like to eat when you get home?

He said, “Baby, don’t worry. I don’t want to stress you in the kitchen today. When I come home, I’ll figure something out.

But me, being the sweet wifey that I am 😂❤️, I went straight to the kitchen to prepare something for him as a surprise.

While I was still cooking, he came home. He saw me in the kitchen, smiled, and went inside. After a few minutes, he came back, held me, and was still smiling. 🥹❤️

I asked, “Why are you still smiling?”

Then I told him, “Don’t open my pot o! When I bring the food, you’ll know what I cooked.” 😂

But this man couldn’t wait! He went straight to my pot and opened it.

Immediately he shouted, “WOW! What a good soup!” 😭😂❤️

I just laughed and said, “You can’t even wait for someone to surprise you!” 😂

Sometimes it’s not the big things. It’s these little moments of love, thoughtfulness and appreciation that make marriage sweet. ❤️🥰
