Grammy Award-winning Afrobeats singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed that he recorded his first-ever song when he was just 13 years old.

He made the revelation during a chat with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, as he detailed the step-by-step process of how he recorded the song.

Burna, now 34 years old, recounted that he used a radio and a tape recorder for the recording, while he obtained the beat from
video game soundtracks.

Burna said, “The First song I ever recorded was by myself, you wouldn’t even believe this. I had a tape, a radio, and I had a tape recorder, whatever, and I would use the beat from video games and some s**t.

“So I used one from NBA Street, Volume II, I think, one from Grand Theft Auto, San Andreas, it was one of the GTAs, one of the early GTAs, I guess. So the first song I recorded was with that, playing that beat and then recording and then, yeah, that’s how it went. How old was I, man? I don’t know, man. I can’t remember. Yeah, around 13.”

Meanwhile, in an earlier interview on The Official UK Afrobeats Chart Show with Eddie Kadi, Burna apologized for his infamous statement about Afrobeats lacking substance.

"My real name is Samuel Animashaun Perry, but everyone knows me as Broda Shaggi. I’m from Ikene in Ogun State.

My dad was a drama teacher, and I used to follow him to rehearsals when I was little. That’s where my love for acting started. Sadly, he pássed away when I was still very young. It hûrt me a lot, but it also gave me the drive to succeed and make him proud.

I studied Creative Arts at the University of Lagos, and after school, I began making short comedy skits online. One of my videos — ‘Jesus appeared in Mushin’ — went viral, and that’s how Broda Shaggi became popular.

What many people don’t know is that I’m married and I have two beautiful daughters. People are always surprised when they find out I have a family because I keep that part of my life private."

Safinatu Buhari (née Yusuf) (11 December 1952 – 14 January 2006) was a Nigerian teacher and First Lady of Nigeria from 1983 to 1985. She was the first wife of Muhammadu Buhari.
Safinatu Yusuf was born on 11 December 1952 to Alhaji Yusufu Mani and Hajia Hadizatu Mani in Jos, Plateau State. She was of the Fulani tribe of Northern Nigeria and hailed from Mani Local Government in Katsina State. She attended Tudun Wada primary school. Her family relocated to Lagos State when the then commissioner for Lagos affairs, Musa Yar'Adua appointed her father as his private secretary.
She enrolled at the Women Teacher's Training College in Katsina and received a Grade 2 Teachers Certificate in 1971. She was versed in Islamic education and was lettered in both English and Arabic.
She met Muhammadu Buhari at the age of 14 and they married in 1971 when she was 18. They had 5 children namely; Zulaihatu (deceased), Magajiya-Fatima, Hadizatu-Nana, Safinatu Lami and Musa (deceased). When Muhammadu Buhari's government was overthrown by Ibrahim Babangida, she relocated to Kaduna with her children. Following the military coup that removed Muhammadu Buhari as president on August 27,1985, when he was released from prison, he divorced Safinatu shortly after; the reason for Buhari's divorce from his first wife has remained unknown. However, it is rumored that Safinatu was accused of receiving financial assistance from Babangida while her husband was imprisoned despite her husband's warning. They divorced in 1988.
Safinatu was the seventh First Lady of Nigeria from 31 December 1983 to 27 August 1985. She was largely unknown by Nigerians as she did not have her own office or personal staff in Dodan Barracks. She stayed out of the public eye but took up responsibility hosting visiting First Ladies.
Safinatu Buhari died 14 January 2006 as a result of diabetes-related complications at the age of 53.

After 36 States, Still No Response — Nasboi’s Painful Journey for Davido’s Attention Ends in Silence

In a heartbreaking twist to a viral journey, popular Yoruba comedian Nasboi has finally drawn the curtain on his bold mission to win the attention of Nigerian superstar Davido.

Over the past few months, Nasboi has been seen kneeling in all 36 states of Nigeria, pleading for just a moment of acknowledgment from the music icon. It wasn’t for fame or pity — it was a heartfelt attempt to reach someone he deeply admired. But after tireless effort, emotional vulnerability, and massive public support, the answer remained… nothing. No response. No reaction. No reward.

😔💔 Despite fans tagging Davido, resharing videos, and encouraging Nasboi to stay strong, Davido never replied, leaving many to wonder — is effort really enough in today’s world?

💭 What This Teaches Us

Sometimes, dedication is not enough. You can give your all and still be ignored. But that does not make you a failure.

Nasboi has now returned to his normal life. Not defeated — but refocused. Because life must go on, and you don’t need anyone’s validation to fulfill your destiny.

📌 Moral of the Story:
“If begging doesn’t work, walk tall and face front. Your destiny is still valid.” 💪🔥
