The way I am loving swallow these days ehn?! šŸ™ˆšŸ˜‚

Especially with Ogbono soup. I love home made Ogbono soup, the taste hits differently...

Then when you pair it with freshly made pounded yam. It is finished! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜šŸ˜‚

This Syinix swallow maker has made it so easy to eat fresh pounded yam and using the machine is pretty straight forward. Trust me on that! Just put yam in the machine, add the required amount of water and turn on the machine. Shikena!

Go and wash clothes, paint your nails etc and come back in a few minutes time. That easy... pounded Yam is ready!

I have been working, testing, curating for a long time... just to have great products.

I mean... quality products that speak for themselves.

I have captured flavours and aromas in my environment and brought them to life.

You donā€™t choose because it is trendy.

You choose it because you are intentional.

I didnā€™t wake up one morning and decide to sell candles, teas and diffusers because the market looked attractive. I created what I was craving.

I was buying candles that burned unevenly.
Diffusers that disappeared after two weeks.
Teas that looked beautiful but felt empty.
So I went back to myself.

If I am going to light a candle in my home, it must burn clean. It must scent the room without shouting. It must sit quietly and still feel expensive.

If I am going to diffuse a space, the fragrance must linger. It must feel layered. It must feel like someone thoughtful lives there.
If I am going to drink tea, it must do something. Calm me. Warm me. Restore me. Not just colour water.

Everything here is slow-made. Tested in my own home. Adjusted until it feels right. Not rushed. Not outsourced carelessly. I am particular. Sometimes annoyingly so. But that is why it feels different.

This Atelier is not for everyone.

It is for people who understand quiet quality.

People who notice details.

People who donā€™t need noise to feel luxury.

I planted these beans months ago, tending to the soil with patience, hope, and prayer.

From the first sproutā€¦ to battling pestsā€¦ to building a scarecrow with my own handsā€¦ to watching the vines blanket the land, and finally seeing the field turn golden, this has been a journey of growth in every sense.

Today, as the beans dry under the early December sun, Iā€™m harvesting with young women and girls from my community.

It may be temporary work, but it is income, dignity, inclusion, and empowerment and it means everything that this little farm can support others, even in a small way.

It is community, womenā€™s empowerment, local agriculture, sustainable living, and a reminder that our roots can feed us literally and spiritually.

Thereā€™s a quiet rebellion happening, a "Buy Nothing Rebellion."
And honestly, Iā€™m in.

Over the years, Iā€™ve realized how much we spend chasing the ā€œnew.ā€ New pots, new aesthetics, new gadgets, new phones.
But true peace begins when we stop trying to fill and start learning to appreciate.

Here are five things I refuse to buy anymore:
1. More pots
2. Changing kitchen aesthetics
3. More dishes and plates
4. Extra kitchen equipment
5. New phones every year

The less I buy, the more I see how abundant my life already is.
