CONDOLENCE MESSAGE
Engr. Nseobong Essang
Oron
The Management and Staff of Newsday Newspaper express our heartfelt condolences to Engr. Nseobong Essang and the entire Essang family on the passing of their beloved patriarch,
Late Col. (Engr.) Okon Peter Essang (Rtd.), B.Eng (Mech), M.Sc., MBA, FNSE, MSS, aged 80 years.
The late Col. (Engr.) Okon Peter Essang was a distinguished engineer, a retired military officer, and a former Commissioner in Akwa Ibom State. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man of faith whose life of service, discipline, and integrity remains a shining example to all who knew him.
We take comfort in the words of the Scripture:
> “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” — Psalm 116:15
“For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.” 2 Corinthians 5:1
Though he has departed from this world, his legacy of faith, humility, and service to God and humanity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know him.
