Speaking at the Progressives Digital Media Summit today, my charge to the young Nigerians in the room and watching across the world, was simple: Use your platforms not only for self-expression but also for problem-solving, to build solutions that address Nigeria’s needs, to mentor others as you grow, and to promote digital literacy and accountability in every corner of our society.

Young Nigerians remain our most important investment. Your ideas, your energy, and your commitment to national development are among Nigeria’s greatest assets.

So, I challenge you to let your digital footprints reflect the best of our nation. Let your actions speak of a generation that did not wait for permission to lead, but stepped forward with courage and clarity.

Many forces will shape Nigeria’s path to prosperity, but none will be more decisive than the choices made by those who dare to imagine and who possess the skill to build.

Nigeria associates with what I have heard at BRICS here in Rio, Brazil. The next issues are financial restructuring and reevaluation of the global structure.

BRICS must not only be a bloc for emerging economies but also a beacon for emerging solutions rooted in solidarity, self-reliance, sustainability, and shared prosperity.

We must be the architects of a future that addresses the specific needs and concerns of youths, who represent 70% of Nigeria’s population.

I also took the opportunity to remind fellow leaders that Nigeria is not a passive participant in global affairs. We are taking bold, homegrown steps to accelerate renewable energy, mainstream climate action, strengthen urban resilience, and expand healthcare access.

The world is changing. Nigeria will not be left behind. We will help lead the way.

Abuja, July 8, 2025 — Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, Director-General of the City Boy Movement, has lauded Nigerian youths for their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging them to remain steadfast in backing his re-election bid.

Speaking during a world press conference convened by the Nigerian Youth Coalition under the leadership of Chief Victor Thompson, in Abuja on Monday, Shoga emphasized President Tinubu’s historic role in Nigeria’s democratic struggle. He described Tinubu as a true leader whose sacrifices over the years have shaped the nation’s democratic journey.

He further called on the youth to “stay wise,” noting that recent decisions made by the President are aimed at setting the country on the right path.
