*Ahmed Yelwa (AHYEL) Foundation Graduates 32 Students in Basic Computer Skills*
The Ahmed Yelwa (AHYEL) Foundation has successfully graduated thirty-two (32) students who completed training in basic computer skills in Jama’are Local Government Area.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, the Director of the Foundation, Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji, emphasized the importance of digital knowledge in today’s rapidly evolving world.
He noted that with the rise of artificial intelligence and technological advancements, the acquisition of relevant skills and enhanced productivity remain indispensable.
Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji further disclosed that the foundation has, so far, facilitated several empowerment initiatives which includes, the training of thirty-six (36) students in preparation for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations, and the empowerment of eighteen (18) young girls in virtual calligraphy, thereby equipping them with creative and entrepreneurial competencies.
He added that, thirty (30) youths have benefited from specialized training in productivity and digital literacy tools.
The Director urged the graduating students to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the programme, stressing that such skills would serve as valuable assets in their academic and professional pursuits.
Also speaking, Mr. Jimoh, an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) expert from Canada, encouraged the beneficiaries to emulate the founder of the foundation by contributing positively to their communities.
In his remarks, Professor Ahmed Usman Ibrahim advised the students to maximize the opportunities presented by modern technology, especially during their higher education.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries, Usman Umar and Amina Ahmed Haladu expressed profound appreciation to the foundation for the training and pledged to make judicious use of the knowledge and skills acquired.
