Another Bold Leap in Rural Connectivity: ₦7.3 Billion Road Contracts Awarded in Kogi State by the people loving Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo .
In a remarkable show of commitment to rural development and agricultural transformation, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, Executive Governor of Kogi State, has approved and awarded another major set of rural road contracts under the Kogi State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (Kogi RAAMP).
The latest intervention awarded to Geodata Global Services totals an impressive ₦7.3 billion, covering twelve (12) critical rural roads across key agrarian communities. These roads will significantly boost access to farms, markets, health services, and education, enhancing productivity and quality of life across the state.
The roads include:
1. ✅ Ogaminana–Obangede Road
2. ✅ Ihima–Egge Road
3. ✅ Oro–Uruvuochinomi Road
4. ✅ Agassa–Idoma Road
5. ✅ Abobo–Osara Dam Road
6. ✅ Ihima–Ogidi Road
7. ✅ Inare–Oboroke Road
8. ✅ Abobo–Ichede Road
9. ✅ Okuha–Enyerezi Road
10. ✅ Okuha Farm Centre Road
11. ✅ Adu Market–Ubogo–Ubantot Road
12. ✅ Ohiana–Overe Road
These roads, designed to asphaltic standard the highest level of intervention under RAAMP will ensure year round accessibility for farmers, traders, and transporters.
Contractors have been mobilized to site, and setting-out activities are already underway. This development demonstrates Governor Ododo’s unwavering resolve to bridge the infrastructure gap between rural and urban communities and unlock the full potential of Kogi State’s agricultural economy.
