5 quiet hours in the life of a PhD Candidate 🎓

From picking up book orders at my faculty bookstore to a short office stop, then a peaceful bike ride home with a quick grocery run in between.

Lately, riding my bike has helped me slow down and reconnect with the simplicity of life. I didn’t get to film everything (real life happens), but I’m glad I captured a piece of today.

🎥 Shout-out to all lifestyle and day-in-my-life creators, this wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth it.

When people share their stories with you, the best thing you can do is relate, either through your own experiences or someone else’s (without mentioning names, of course). If there’s a well-known person whose story mirrors theirs, feel free to reference it. This helps them feel seen, understood, and reminds them they’re not alone. It could be a step toward healing or growth, depending on what they’re going through. Don’t just sit there in silence acting like a saint. Listen, and connect.
