I've come to realize that for most people, the challenge of building their online presence is in starting.

Once they know how to start, then they can find their way.

Now, if you find yourself on this table of being confused of how to start building your online presence, then these are some of the things you can do:

1. Have a skill or learn a skill: this skill can be anything. It could be soft skills, hard skills or knowledge about a particular subject matter.

2. Offer value: The value you offer should be in the skill you are proficient in or the knowledge you have.

3. Market your skills either by offering your skills/knowledge for a fee, create a course around it, or be a consultant for it.

4. Finally, be consistent. Show up everyday with value and you will achieve your desired result.

1. Decide on the social media platform to use. If your goal is to be shaking bum bum in videos, hope you know that Twitter, Facebook and YouTube may not be the best place to get your target audience?

2. Define your goals: After choosing a platform to build with, what do you want to achieve? Is it the likes and the follows that you just want? Or you are planning to get customers from there? Biko, having a goal is important, it guides your process.

3. Define your target audience: Hmm, my dear, who do you want to attract on social media, if your goal is to be shaking bum bum, what kind of audience do you want to see you doing that? Hope you know that your goal determines the kind of content you will share which also determines the kind of audience you will attract.

Always keep these 3 things in mind as you build your social media presence.

2. 𝕎𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕖 𝕒 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕡𝕖𝕝𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕓𝕚𝕠: Your bio should be short and to the point, highlighting your professional skills and experience.

3. 𝔽𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕠𝕦𝕥 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕡𝕣𝕠𝕗𝕚𝕝𝕖 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖𝕥𝕖𝕝𝕪: Make sure to include all relevant information in your profile, such as your location, education, and work experience. This will help people understand your background and what you have to offer.
