ARADEL HOLDINGS PLC APPOINTS TUKUR,OSAHON,ADEEYO TO BOARD

Two independent non-executive directors and a non-executive director have been appointed to the board of an energy company in Nigeria, Aradel Holdings Plc.

The appointees are Mr Olusola Adeeyo as a non-executive director, Mr Mahmud Tukur as an independent non-executive director, and Mr George Osahon also as an independent non-executive director.

A statement signed by the company secretary, Ms Titilola Omisore, disclosed that the appointments will take effect from Friday, July 25, 2025, “subject to ratification by the shareholders at the next annual general meeting (AGM) of the company.”

Mr Tukur has over 29 years of experience in the energy, maritime, and infrastructure sectors, rising to become the chief executive of Eterna Plc in 2010 at the age of 37.

A year later, he established Ashgrove Group, a conglomerate comprising four operating companies; Ashgrove Energy Limited, Ashgrove Exploration and Production Limited, Ashgrove Petroleum Limited, and Ashgrove Investments Limited.

As for Mr Osahon, he is armed with about 40 years of experience in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, joining the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited in 2001 and then becoming the Group General Manager of the Nigerian Content Division in 2007. Currently, he is the Managing Director of Geo-Concept Technical Limited, a consultancy that provides strategic guidance to operators and asset holders in the upstream oil and gas sector.

On his part, Mr Adeeyo retired as a banker and was part of the pioneer treasury and foreign exchange unit of the Nigeria International Bank (NIB), now CITI Group, a subsidiary of CITI Bank NY.

In 1991, he founded Asset and Investment Limited and was responsible for arranging and raising debts for some states in Nigeria as well as trading companies. He participated in establishing other businesses, including co-founding Protea Hotel Oakwood Park, Lagos.

The hotel was part of an international hotel brand managed and operated by the Protea Hotel Group of South Africa, now Marriot Hotels Group. He also founded Astral Waters Limited, a water production, bottling and delivery business.

Mass Exodus Looms: Thousands of APC Members in Adamawa Prepare to Defect to ADC Coalition

In a significant political development, a group of prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Adamawa State convened a strategic meeting in Yola to discuss defecting to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and forming a new coalition to challenge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

The meeting, held at the residence of Engr. Omar Suleiman, a former Nigerian Ports Authority official and ex-Ambassador to Sudan, signals a potential shift in the state’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 elections.

The coalition includes loyalists of high-profile figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Governor Murtala Nyako, former Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani, and Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo.

Engr. Omar Suleiman, a long-time APC member who unsuccessfully contested for the Adamawa Central senatorial seat in 2015 and 2019, hosted the meeting. Sources revealed that discussions centered on a strategic plan to take over Adamawa State, leveraging the ADC as a new political platform.

Another key figure, Engr. Dr. Umar Buba Bindir, a former Secretary to the Adamawa State Government and senatorial aspirant, addressed the coalition, emphasizing that the ADC has been adopted at the national level as a party for all registered and loyal members. Bindir vowed to work collaboratively to dislodge the PDP, criticizing the APC for its failure to reward loyalty.

Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Dasin, a former state and federal lawmaker and active APC member, also attended the meeting, calling for unity among the coalition to achieve their shared goal. “We must come together with a clear purpose to bring change to Adamawa,” Dasin urged, highlighting the need for a cohesive strategy to challenge the PDP’s dominance.

The meeting underscores ongoing internal crises within the Adamawa APC, with prominent members like Nyako, Bindow, Binani, and Abbo previously boycotting a reconciliation meeting organized by the party’s national leadership in December 2024.

Wannan lokaci ne da ya dace mu yi nazari a kan rayuwarmu, mu dawo kan tafarkin da ya dace, tare da fahimtar manyan darussa na hadin kai, juriya, da aiki tare da wannan lokaci ke koyarwa. Allah ya sa mu amfana da darussan wannan sabuwar shekara, ya karba ibadunmu, ya kuma kawo zaman lafiya da ci gaba a Najeriya.

Allah ya sa sabuwar shekarar 1447 AH ta zamo ta alheri da albarka ga kowa da kowa.

Today, we proudly celebrate Salihu Barkindo, who has just graduated from Bayero University, Kano (BUK) with a First Class Degree in Computer Science and not just that…

💥 He finished with an incredible CGPA of 4.85 — making him the Second Best Graduating Student in both his Department and the entire Faculty of Computing! Let that sink in. This is excellence in its purest form.

But to understand the weight of this achievement, you need to know where it all began:

🌱 Born and raised in Jada LGA, Adamawa State,
✏️ Started at Tsohon Tike Primary School Jada (2005–2010),
🏫 Attended Government Junior Secondary School Jada 1 (2010–2013),
