An Amazon cargo Boeing 767 has overrun a runway at Miami International Airport in the United States, striking multiple vehicles and catching fire, according to officials.
The aircraft, identified as 21 Air Flight 7598, was operating for Amazon Air and had arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico, when the incident occurred at about 2 p.m. local time on Sunday.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Boeing 767-300 went beyond the runway after landing. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the aircraft struck several vehicles and caught fire, prompting a major emergency response.
More than 60 emergency-response units were reportedly dispatched to the scene as firefighters battled the blaze and emergency personnel attended to people affected by the incident.
Early reports indicated that there were multiple patients, but authorities had not immediately released a definitive figure for injuries or casualties.
